Does that mean my morning request won't make it into the patch? Shucks, I thought for sure I'd get my foot in the door before it was slammed shut!
I'd keep my hopes up if I were you - they're probably busy banging together the bridge view which is why they don't update the OP. All hands on deck! The FLIGHT DECK! YEAH!!!11!one

Interdiction is super weak sauce... and only applicable in the bubble and only when carrying cargo (mostly). It does nothing for exploration. I would not consider it much of a solution. Nor is gravity wells. Space is big. The chance that other objects will be in your way is small and most at best, simply slow you down for a few seconds. There's no piloting skill needed to supercruise. No real scale between pro supercruisers and new players once they figure out the 6 second rule.
Yes, interdiction was mostly in the bubble, but cargo wasn't needed to trigger it. For me that made it annoying when I was exploring and had no cargo and the pirate messaged in SC "What a nice haul. Surprised you made it this far." or "The rumors were right about you."
The over engineered gankers pushed the "submit and run" which made the "casual players" demand changes instead of them having to develop the skills to see when they were being stalked and take action to make beating interdiction easier and the flying skill to do it.

If interdiction is a problem for anyone, go here to see how to make it just a normal part of the game..

Now, yes, interdiction does seems to be triggered when you have cargo.
BUT
Cargo mined where there were no pirates or salvaged cargo where there were no observers SHOULD never have been a "trigger" since there is no way that the pirates could know you are carrying anything.
NOW, cargo bought at a station is a completely different matter. Especially if it is mission related cargo. NOW the pirates could indeed know you have something.

Right!

I wonder who would be stupid enough to do that though :)
"Gold Trading" has allegedly been a 'thing' since the dawn of online play - I guess even in ED there must be folk willing to "Paypal $XX for 5,000 LTD etc." if the comment made by another poster is assumed to be verifiable 🤷‍♂️

Those 'money-rich but Time-poor' folk, I'd imagine...

My guess is that the patch list contains a lot of speculative fixes, or that the devs are still working out what to include so its popping up at the end of the day.

You can't please everyone, but you can recognize bad game design and fix it when it's your game. And these forums are 100% only for wasting our breaths about the game. Why else would you be here? to sing it's praises ? To wonder why nobody else designs their games with half hour periods of watching space dust go by and nothing happen ? Please.

You can certainly recognize the lowest hanging fruit and look to them as areas that would have the greatest impact to the most players as places of improvement vs whatever nonsense roadmap they've been on for the last 3 years that have done little to correct the things players complain the most about.

I came here to see if the patch notes came out yet which 99% of the time is the only reason I come. It appears you (and others) came here to impose your opinions onto us by high jacking this thread instead of starting your own post, who most people probably would not read. Maybe that is because you are the only one who thinks there is a problem. If the game does not excite you or live up to your personal expectations that is on you. FDev is making the game they want and you can fight against that all you want but do understand that you will not change the course of events. Be objective, how long do you think it takes to design elements in the game and roll that out?. Do you have any work experience in coding or game design to know, I don't but I don't expect new DLC ever few months. I am old enough to have learned some patients.

I think like many people you could believe that in the world where "instant" gratification is the norm everything has to be that way. Not understanding how that is likely causing anxity to rise in socity due to the pressures of preforming, life, "living up to others" and other influences cause in people. I don't play twitch style games or heart pounding action titles but that is all the depth they offer and I stop playing. I think if that is what you are looking for you would be happier to move on to other games.

Technically you don't have to be exceptionally money-rich to drop - say - 20€ to get a few billion (I invented the numbers, but I'd see that kind of ballpark quite reasonable), considering how long it still takes to grind that amount of money. Especially if you don't particularly like mining...

Nevertheless, why spending real money to have billions in a game you don't even bother to play ?
Credits are pretty easy to get in ED and there are alternatives to mining (not as rewarding, but you can still make around 300M in 8h of massacre missions).

To skip the grind and get a carrier, a neat toy as such? I'm absolutely certain that there would be an existing market if you could pay2play buy an FC with 20€ (I, for example, just dropped around 8-9€ to a cosmetic kit that morphed mine to Nautilus-class FC :D).

I'm not saying I would buy one, but after spending hours and hours of shooting rocks at Kirre's to get a carrier, I kinda understand why someone would want to skip that part by investing a sum that gets you a few pints at a bar.

(NB. I'm in no way endorsing or wanting a gold market, merely arguing that I completely understand why they exist.)
