Thanks for clarifying, ‘tis a bit odd but expected. Its not so much buying the FC which is the bother; but more the star which I have had my eye on for 2 years. It has been just out of my reach until now. Just don’t want to get there to find it’s been claimed because the update went South at launch lol.

I just realized there is no word about transferring tritium from cargo to fuel tank directly nor about remote refueling of FC.
These are quite serious issues which make the FC waaay more cumbersome than they should be.

Its like the Royal Flying Corps blocking Manfred Richthofen, Powerplay should be a strictly trinary choice of play alone, in a PG or face other adversaries with no opt outs in Open.

On its own this change is fine until it meets a feature like Powerplay which can be played in Open and involves adversarial play. Right now Powerplay is reduced to being a second tier BGS feature that is made worse rather than better by these changes.

You don't have the option to download the beta client. The system automatically downloads the update from frontier. This isn't anyone's fault but frontiers.

The way Xbox live works is that when you log in and there is an update for a particular game available, it will DL automatically or prompt you to DL before you can start the game. People are not DL the beta by accident.

Same on PS4. Tsk tsk tsk. Forgive our PC breathren. Their worldview is small.

Well my update is finished but I won't be starting the game until they get this shorted out. Thanks for the post warnings guys.

maybe they are struck with reading disabilites like " The downtime will be SEVEN HOURS starting at 7:30 UTC".... though...other than that why you repeat exactly what ive been saying myself? "maybe FD fumbled at taking the entire system down" .. ..you can take a game offline as a developer. This has not happened. Its not that they didnt have MONTHS to prepare for this date right?

I don't think this is what we were repeating, right :D...we were trying to explain that when updates for games are released on console, it's not possible to play the game until said updates are downloaded and installed. Therefore, the system will not arbitrarily allow you to download the beta by accident.

As well, on console, it is possible to download game updates and still not be able to play the game because the play servers are still down.

so now we waited 3 years for a station you move to locations(carrier) which cost you money mkay. Thought the add new amazing stuff as the promised they carriers where not ready i only see stuff removed. Not even Npc traders trade with it so mabe in open you can make 0,00001 % of your upkeep cost if someone exidently buys stuff
