For you, what is the new thargoid variant ?

After the revelation that a new Thargoid "thing" was coming into the game, what do you think its role could be?

Personally, link to its size compared to interceptors, I would think more of a kind of fighter, accompanying something bigger.
And you what do you think ?

I think its safe to say the silhouette you see in the Maelstroms is the motherships.

The statement was to the effect that something big was coming to Update 15, whether that is narrative wise or game-mechanic-wise wasn't elaborated upon. However, teasing a new Thargoid ship and calling that a little bonus certainly does suggest that it's not going to be just a few extra onfoot emotes.

As far as OPs question... It has to be an attack fighter, something in between the Interceptors that may take less ttk but could be part of a larger group like Scouts are so possibly harder to handle overall than a single Interceptor with Scout support.

Not because I like Fortnite, but because I know that there's a large portion of the player base here who will burst into flames at the sight of another commander performing the dance (the halloween and christmas helmets proved that).

My bet is that it's a Thargoid Tie Fighter of sorts, maybe launched from something bigger. Might be hard to track at that speed, plus it apparently has all the Interceptor attacks.

Anyway. That shuriken looks like fodder for a turret T-10 if the turrets can track it. Otherwise, small Thargoid fight, bigger than Thargons, but can still be hunted with a small ship.
