Frontier. Please make a PVE mode to this game.

Where is "here" for you? I'm in the Pacific Northwest of the US; today it's warm enough that the snow is sticky for making snowmen, but tomorrow we get back into sub zero temps for the next week or so.

If a CMDR gets attacked (gets hit by another CMDR's weapons) then yes, a bonus is appropriate if they survive to turn in cargo or complete a mission.
If a CMDR is in Open and no other CMDRs are around then no, a bonus is not appropriate.

I initially did not see the point to an Open PVE mode either. But upon more consideration, Mobius isn't really an Open PVE mode. It has a player cap and is susceptible to PVP infiltration. Solo is fine unless you want to do co-op PVE play with other people. Open PVE would allow an unlimited number of players and eliminate the threat of unwanted PVP.

No warplanes required. Here, once again, is the reason why it is a good thing for some people: Those who DO NOT want PVP will be able to play with other people automatically. No need to join a specific group. Just log into the game, choose the open-pve mode and play. They can explore, mine, trade, fight npc's, with other people WITHOUT the worry of other human players attacking them. For some people, THIS IS FUN. Sorry for the caps, but I use them when people can't seem to get the hint.

A very logical and true argumentation.

I am very sure that this is the core conflict of those outing themself so strongly against an Open-PvE.

On the one side they fear to lose Players in their open-PvP mode that they love which means that they asume that there are a lot of unhappy PvE players forced through lack an alternative or knowledge of mobius to Play in open.

On the other side they do not want to confess that there is a lack of alternative and People have to play unhapply in open which if this is the case means they lose NO Player in Open-PvP because all those players are already all gone to mobius or solo.

I often read there is no good argument for an Open-PvE mode. (yeah there are still some out there telling such) The opposite is the case:

There is absolut no Logical Argument to be against an Open-PvE mode except a very selfish Argument to want to force other players to play the way they don't like to play just that oneself has a more populated mode. (the fear case)

And in the case all PvE players are already all outside of the open the Addition of an open-PvE mode it will not have any affect on the existing open-PvP at all and therefore you have 0 Argument to be against it in that case.

Because the pvp as it is is awful. If it was better, you'd get even less ganking than there actually is.

And, as I've said before, the fractured nature of the game modes has diluted player pressure on Fdev already meaning we get new updates while there are still major bugs in old updates (and core game).

More modes will either ensure that dilution or make it worse; It would definitely not make the situation better.

Furthermore, if you actually spend the time learning how the simulation works, you can avoid 99% of all Pvp and evade 99% of the pvp you do encounter, especially if you give yourself a fighting chance by presuming hostility and by giving your ship some defences, even a shield if nothing else.

That's not telling you how to play the game except when pvp is likely.

But I guess it's easier to get Fdev to make a new mode so then you can start to campaign for less skilled npc's and nerfing star damage and complete the mission to make E D little more than a shiny mobile game.

Have fun when a player comes into your res site and kill steals from you. Have fun when you get destroyed by the station when a ship rams you hard enough into a NPC to kill them. You don't seem to understand that no matter what you are going to get "griefed" no matter what you do by players who have less than savory motivations. I came up with the above two scenarios within 10 seconds. Just think about how many things a dedicated griefer could come up with over time. All of these open PvE ideas aren't as easy as they sound.

No, it would not. Some of us will never play in Open. For me, Elite is solo and always has been. I'm an introvert. I don't want to play with other people. Apparently, i'm not the only one.

Some of that might be true, although I doubt "ramming" between player ships will be allowed in this kind of mode. (If someone wants to ram other player ships, they can play in the "OPEN-PVP" mode). Either way, even if you can't eliminate every form of "griefing" that exists, that doesn't mean you shouldn't try to eliminate the main ones. An "OPEN-PVE" mode could at least eliminate those. Just because there will always be thieves, doesn't mean we shouldn't have Police Dept.s or security systems. You do wait you can to mitigate the effects of bad behaviour.

That is fine and there's nothing wrong with wanting to play that way. That said good chances are those like you would not leave solo no matter how pvp was changed or what C&P was introduced.

It would however help those that play in groups to avoid the pvp aspect of the game and those that play in solo to avoid the pvp aspect yet avoid group as there's no room or they feel it's like having a target on your back so to speak.
