Fuel Dump Button Please.

It's an "I win button", apparently.

Because PvP honking is a thing.

Lestat, riddle me this: How is it an "I win button" if everyone has equal access? That fact completely dismantles all your "arguments" in this thread.

You're arguing against actual gameplay in favour of players sitting AFK for hours on end.

What do they win?

Yeah and the ability to cap a fuel tank at a specific capacity when scooping so i can always take a full size tank on my aspx but only carry half fuel since i don't always need that capacity

I agree with your proposal of a fuel dump, that would be convenient [up]

Why you take a shot at engineers in the same post I can't understand.
Is there really anyone out there playing the game without them? Poor guys.

I try to put a cap when needed by quickly turning off the fuel scoop while scooping. Since we cant dump fuel, i plan my scooping amount, but with the condas big fuel scoop is not so easy, so i use the method above.

So you want an I win button for the edge. That the thing the edge should be hard. Any stupid mistake will cost you. Sometimes even death. It requires careful planning.
Not quite.

You can already do it with rail guns engineered with slugs, but it's just ugly solution. To use a weapon that's modified to achieve something that would be a natural and rather obvious feature anyway.

Once, it was said that Frontier doesn't want to waste our time. They respect our time as gamers. Well... the rail gun slug solution or supercruise for hours or do extra jumps to achieve something that could be done with a very simple quality of life feature isn't respecting gamers time. Respecting out time would be to add it as a built in function to ease the time it takes.

Right now it skilled base. But if you have fuel dump everyone would be flying Max jump range all the time Which is an I win Button. Elimanates Skill.

So you are a player that makes mistake and complaining because you made a mistake and want a I win Button.

Not much skill in waiting mate, TBH.

The skill is knowing how much fuel you need in the first place, especially with synthesis. Editing your fuel to that number via pressing a fire button over and over and over and over, or waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting is not skill.

Besides.... Everyone jumping Max all the time (unlikely but OK)... So what? I hear the FSD booster does much the same (don't have one so not really sure how it works)

Lestat, sometimes I think you argue against an idea for the sake of it. Lol

Being able to dump fuel allows you to actively manage your fuel, which is way better than just sitting around burning it.
It's also riskier if you mess it up.

Dumping fuel is in nearly all flight simulators, it's not there as an iWin button, it's there as an iDontWantToExplode button.

Sorry old chap. I was frustrated having discovered that one must visit an engineer to use a rail gun for this purpose. Apparently that is not an "I win" button.

There's quite a lot of us that play without them. We're usually drowned out with suspicious efficency though.

Thank you for your support Commanders.

Forget about the fuel dump button, I want the "I win" button...

By the way, what do I win... does it work on Thargoids and gankers?

Actually it's very annoying to use a plasma slug rail, I fit one on every explorer and STILL I want that dump button, cause
you can better jump around to dump fuel (not possible in every situation) than using that one.
It's very slow, even on a 5C tank on a Conda it takes ages to dump fuel.

Do you have a real argument or are you just trolling? Burning the right amount of fuel is about the same skill level as "finding" HGE, which is waiting in SC staring at an info panel to show the right sign. This barely even qualifies as a game mechanic.

Yes I do but you seem to be ignoring it as well as other players. I think it more on the line players are not Monitoring the amount of fuel they are using. When they get too much and they whine. Because they made a Mistake. We can take my Anaconda. Full 52.44 With less Fuel I can jump 54.55. Managing that Longer Range requires skill. it, not a hard skill to learn. It not a fuel dump option.

If you want to fill your fuel tank but not overfill. Use the edge of the Star and fill it slowly not close to the star and fill it in 10 seconds. then when you get to a new location and go OH NO I have to much FUEL.

Note I tend to fly at the edge in one of my accounts. I don't have much of an issue. I don't have to fly 15 Minutes because I played stupid.

Your mighty anaconda is fitted for exploration? Can you share your loadout with us?

Not against the idea, probably wouldn't use it myself but can see others would. What I can see is the Fuel Rats suddenly being a lot busier. If we have Commanders now who run out of fuel or jump into systems they can't get out of, how many noobs are going to hit the button at the wrong time and then blame FD? Forum will be a busy place methinks :D

I think it fine the way it is. It forces the player to choose. Players do have an option to jump from one system back to use up fuel.

No, it causes pointless faff.

Want to reduce your fuel down to a certain level? What's added by needless faff in the way of doing this? Allowing a player to drop the fuel they want to, simply adds more options and considered choices.
