Newcomer / Intro Galaxy Map Question ....

Another step back .....
Why is such little detail shown on my galaxy map for this part of the galaxy ?

Each item is named when I mouse over it, with full details about its makeup.
And I have comprehensive details on each item shown on the system map including those at my current location......

..... But the galaxy map shows me so little .......

If you mean "why can't I see these stars?" it looks like you have a filter on that has removed them.

I found out what it was.
I had the scoopable stars filter only turned on and a was looking at the associated galaxy map showing the same thing ONLY. Soon as I switched to the Realistic Galaxy View every galaxy star was named and I could mouse over each star that I had explored to get the star's composition. Thanks Jago, your post made me look further into what I had filtered.
Hence, it's two steps forward, followed by one step back. However .......
Right ...... back to manual docking practice .......

I think it's time I started to view some of those well made, good, bad, or even obsolete tutorial video on U-Tube. I have too many noob questions to keep asking them here.

U-tube is another great resource in addition to what you can gleam from posts here. When I started , probably put 2 hours on the tube for every hour flying in the game early on . And lately there are some recent up to date videos covering post-Nerf aspects from older , out of date tutorials. Every resource out there helps. Helps lessen the learning curve slightly ... Still have to burn the time out there between jumps , to get the full grasp of the material. It was worth all the effort...
