ANNOUNCEMENT Game Balancing Pt.2

Bounties from NPCs will see significant increases from approximately four times as much for the highest paying ones to ten times as much for the lower paying ones
So in short, we are rewarding killing easy targets even more compering to what we have currently, also A-B commodity trading is most profitable activity in game, is there any purpose of those changes other than giving every epic noob fleet carrier ASAP and move target playerbase closer to 80+y old?

Thanks for the changes so far. However, they are only related to NPC bounties and PvE style of play. What about player bounties? Why is there no info on this aspect? Hunting criminal players is by far the most dangerous job in the Elite universe. Yet the payment for those is very limited. Please increase those player bounty payouts so that player bounty hunting is strongly encouraged.

Additionally many CMDRs think that notorious players should be forced into OPEN play and even that their position should be shown in the GalMap.
Here is a great post with many excellent ideas to bring additional content and fix the "ganking problem" Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/EliteDangerous/comments/k13ogo/how_the_ganking_problem_should_be_fixed/
We're discussing player bounties internally and considering an increase to the current cap on those. This needs to be decided carefully to avoid exploitation.

What station?
About a quarter of them, though some are better than others, and it varies from hour to hour which are best. This isn't one of those "you have to be at a specific station at full moon flying a green T-7" methods - just open mission boards until you find some.

also A-B commodity trading is most profitable activity in game,
Second, I think. Maybe even third depending on how the BGS lines up the markets on a particular day.

(But this is Elite Dangerous - it was generally the most profitable activity in Elite, FE2 and FFE as well)

It would be nice if you could increase the generation of Wing Missions, they seem to be pretty rare or limited to 1 when you do see them.

I would even be fine with having limits on some of them like Wing Massacre missions, maybe you can only have 1 at a time but give us more options to choose from when we pick them.

Is MultiCrew on the docket to be looked at? I feel like no one ever wants to do it because the pay is just flat out lower compared to flying your own ship, especially when Mining or Trading.

IMHO, bounty "farming" should get less of a buff than bounty HUNTING. In other words, just shooting endless waves of pirates in a RES should be less lucrative than accepting pirate assassination missions. Because let's face it, there is very little effort in farming a RES once you have an engineered combat ship (I would argue it takes more effort to mine). At least with assassination missions, there is the effort in hunting down your target, and you don't get endless waves of targets coming in and saying, "Please shoot me!" like you do in a RES.

This is just my opinion, and not one I'm going to lose sleep over if I'm ignored. 🤷

Known pirate assassination targets most often come for you rather than making you find them. Yeah, you get the occasional locate contact update but once you get the info and go to the new system you're the one being interdicted nine times out of ten. Other than that you find them waiting in a signal source. There's next to no effort involved in finding them at all. Also they pose no more risk to an engineered ship than your typical res site pirate not even the Corvette targets are remotely threatening. Perhaps they should make the known pirates more challenging and then increase the payout accordingly.

Thanks for the quick reply. Can you please explain what the threat of exploitation here really is? As the credits earned by the hunter will come from the bank account of the criminal player it is a transfer. By adding fees this can be made into a credit sink as well. And credit transfer between player accounts is already possible with the help of fleet carriers.

Another suggestion, if I may, is, could you increase the material rewards too?

Some players don't particularly need much money, but often need materials which are mission only.
For example, Biotech Conductors (I think), you can get 5 from an Elite scan the thingie mission, which takes all of 5 minutes, and zero real risk, or 5 from a massacre 96 ships mission, which could take 5 hours.
Any chance of balancing said rewards with some sort of average estimated time to completion?

I have a simple question: Why was this "balance" needed at all .... why it was necessary to kill mining, for the sake of the still incomprehensible possibility of increasing the rewards for murders .... the figures announced are not yet specific. It’s not clear at all whether this will be an improvement, but you have already praised the initiative here ...

Solo Combat Missions
We're also increasing the payouts for Massacre and Assassination missions. Several economic factors affect the pay offered, but we expect these to grant around twice as many credits as before. For now, we've opted not to change Wing Massacre Missions following reports of consistently high payouts from these but we remain open to feedback.

For both Bounties and Solo Combat Missions, the changes will be carefully examined throughout the following days and weeks to review their effects and allows time for feedback.
Will this just be for pirate lords, or will it also apply to politicians and civilian assassinations? The illegal side of the game is often woefully underpaid when you consider both the lack of risk from spacecops and the extra reward of bounties for the legal missions.

One other problem with massacre missions in general isn't so much the money involved as the numbers of targets required reaching ridiculous levels as you rank up, to the point of missions which have more reasonable numbers of targets vanishing off the board altogether. Looking at the system I'm in now, the lowest paid massacre mission wants me to kill 48 ships. (this happens for other missions too, the smaller ones just disappear completely once you're elite/allied)

We need different categories on mission board.
Now we can find 20 missions, all can be planetary scanns. 20minutes later we can find only 15 massacres. After hour only trade missions. After it SaR missions.
What with people, which want take X missions, but on station is literally 0 missions of this type? So my idea are mission categories, we can have separately contact to each missions category, now we have missions board and passenger lounge. Maybe just flip board to example, trade contact/miner contact/combat contact/SaR contact/other (you know, disabling turrets, surface scan, smuggling)?
