Pure Genius! How can the game industry not remake this one..?:D

Someone remade one of my favourite games for the Spectrum, Sabre Wulf, a while ago.

I'd love to see some more Spectrum classics remade. Jet Set Willy, Jetpac etc..

I love to see more 8/16 bit game remade,But I think the problem is that most westeren dev
just don't understand the whole retro games phenomenon.Unlike japanese dev,who seem
quit happy to remake there older games for new format.Althrough a few are starting to
take notice of it.

I believe there is a new Syndicate game on the way from E.A.I hope they do it as a 3rd person
game.Don't think it would work as a F.S.P.

JetPac was remade recently and is available as a Xbox 360 Live Arcade title for those that own the console (and are willing to part with 800 points).

For myself I think I would like to see Balance of Power remade. Or Sentinel. Or Chess. Why can't anyone rethink chess? Oh, wait...

i dont want it remade but its about time cannon fodder was rereleased for xp/ vista or for xbox live arcade. and while i'm at it lets have fe2 on the xbox arcade as well, i dont care how bad the control system might be i'll still buy it :)

Cannon Fodder has been re-released already. Mind you it is the old version (so blocky graphics etc) but it does run just fine on my Vista-machines. You can find it at Good Old Games, www.gog.com

I loved that game. Great fun, played it to death on the amiga.

just noticed that the aforementioned cannon fodder runs in dos box however the music and sound run just fine, now my frontier which i'm running in dos box has no sound, i always just thought thats how it was with dos box. how can i get frontiers music n sound running? please bear in mind that i'm not overly computer proficient so an idiots guide would be appreciated :)

If the music sounds like Rolf Harris playing a kazoo accompanied by Patrick Moor on a xylophone.:)
you need to look the setting when you set the game up IIRC there are 3 different setting that can used.
Fiddle with the three settings,you should be able to get some thing which sounds nearly but not quite as good as an Amiga.:p

Iam doing this from memory as I dont have the game set up on this computer,so Iam probably completely wrong about all this.:eek:

thanks very much spacegamer! this pretty much sums up everything i like about this forum, everyones always very friendly and happy to help each other, there's never a 'im better than you' attitude thats so common on other forums. :D

I would like to see a Wing Commander remake with todays graphics. WC series in the 90's was a huge seller and dominated a lot of the other games. Why not kick start this series again with a face lift and show it to a new generation of gamers.

Like to see a remake of Wasteland. I spent many hours on my C64 playing this game.

And of course remakes of all the Ultima games. Especially 1-6.

I'd love to see a new Operation Winback, we were talking about it the other day and it was so good. Someone here at Frontier worked on Winback 2.
