Original release date was December 2018 ... they're a year and a half overdue.
But the current situation is that they have announced Q2 2020 - so they are not yet late...
Why worry? According to some the game is dead anyway, players are leaving in droves and even Deciat is safe :)

I'm not hot on the whole Fleet Carrier thing...I'm hoping that one day we have the Panther Clipper

We're facing a global pandemic unseen since the spanish flu. We can only hope and pray it has nothing like the death toll that it did and its no exaggeration to say the effects of this will reverberate for years if not decades to come much like 9/11 and the 2008 crash reverberate with us to this day.

So really what im trying to say is be less of a t 1t and have some damn perspective.

@Mods I apologise for breaking for forum rules but in times like these I often find a moderated reply is lost on mouth breathers like Numa.

If you excuse me im off to make sure the two 70+ yo's im caring for dont starve, die or have to wipe their arxe on newspapers.
I'm curious as to how in a normal year the common flu kills over 50,000 people alone in the U.S. And this one won't come close to it, but unlike the normal years; This one is a "Pandemic".

In America:
The following link gives figures on 10 of the most common issues that have killed American's in America. None of which are considered a pandemic. Hmmmm

I'm so gonna use that train of thought when I have to re-arrange decorating jobs! "I wasn't supposed to do it a month ago, I changed the schedule"
I'm sure you'll get the same level of butt-hurt FDev do over this game, as long as you have a handful of other successful business interests going alongside your decorating you'll be fine :)
It just makes me chuckle how folk get so obsessed over content delivery in a game... Updates may or may not arrive, what does it really matter, if the game doesn't engage one currently then minor content is unlikely to improve the situation, and if it does engage, waiting for additional content is not going to be particularly bothersome.

The whole Clipper thing is a bit of a worry really, once we've got it and made a gazillion credits from trading/mining and 'wotnot' what are we to spend our credits on then... we're just gonna keep asking for a bigger this that or the other!

There needs to be some financial (credits) sink, like tax, Base building, Mining installations, Player Industries.... but I can't see that on the horizon of the ten year plan when that time is half way through!

Flu kills 300 000 - 600 000 pear year and is now so widespread the WHO can do little so they tend to ignore it as a pandemic, this is new and unknown... albeit broadly similar!

PvP is a massive credit sink ;)

Just add them to the DLC, that's a perfectly reasonable approach given the current situation.

>implying any of the people having a moan on here have an ounce of reasonable in their bodies

I mean when we're suggesting a global pandemic virus that's slowly but surely shutting the country down is going to be used as 'an excuse' as oposed to 'a reason' I think it's fair to say reasonable has left the building.

Well given that the majority of things you've linked there aren't communicable diseases and therefore couldn't be a pandemic to begin with, I'm going to make a fairly safe assumption that you're way too stupid to understand any futher analysis I might provide.

That was for the squadron club room in space version of the carrier which was cancelled and replaced by the personal one which is admittedly scheduled to release roughly six months later than originally announced.

I think I was quite polite about someone who thinks his imaginary spaceships are more important the the health and well-being of our fellow men and women, and proudly boasts how he 'hates humanity'.

Crises like theses really help to quickly see who people are. If spacelegs is ever released, anyone who thinks an update to a computer game was more important than this tragedy will not find a welcoming Lavian brandy on my ship.

Not going discuss it further, but some behaviour is noteworthy enough to demand being pointed out. If the mods take offense they can do as they feel is needed. That is their perogative.

I understand all the frustration about this topic and I also understand the Crazy Dev Defender Wing, these are troubling times for humanity.
What I don't understand is why we have no actual official communicates... I am home in quarantine in a third country world and I am able to post in forums. So why the delay with any information?
this is just bad marketing and bad PR.
What is sad, in my opinion, is to keep looking at these forums, every day hopping for an update that will distract us from more pressing events.
