That's a convenient excerpt from a review that strongly points out two of the issues that most of us have been harping about for months:
"The galaxy can feel lifeless at times"
"Playing with friends is unnecessarily difficult"
I have an axe for fanboys and dishonest reviews.....clearly you don't.
That a niche game like Elite can generate that amount of traffic and feelings among the player-base compared to "mammoths" like Far Cry is pretty encouraging IMO.![]()
Or it has a better fanbase who just keeps voting it up with 10 points no matter what flaws it has.
And why do you suppose it has a strong fanbase?
Because a lot of players are psychologically 'locked in' to be affirmative because they spent a lot of money on a game, or they desperately hope for a more fleshed out game in the future, and a low score from them now would make that less likely?
