Sorry FD but Gamma 2.01 still hanging on the spinney ship of death. As mentioned in one of my previous posts and the ticket I sent. 3 days ago smooth as silk today course as old sackcloth. could not get into Gamma 2 and the problem is not resolved as yet.

So when they said that rare goods are now prized all over the galaxy they meant - Rare goods are now so rare there is now point in dealing in them. Belalans entire supply of leather was 2 items! If this is a joke then I'm not laughing. Nice to be able to get into the game though...

ran file sync => no fix
updated nvidia drivers to latest version. = no fix

K.Lite-Codec-Pack removement fixes the Crash to Desktop. (Haali Media Splitter). Looks like the startvideo has a problem.

Looking at the bottom of the launcher, the client and server versions don't match:
V 2014.12.11.53704 0.4.1765.0 (0.4.1755.0 SERVER)

For those getting a crash on startup, do you see the same?
And for those who can play the game, what version numbers do you see in the launcher?

Crashing as soon as the game menu tries to load for me, was working fine in Gamma 2.00. It's probably my turn to start having issues though, I haven't had one since alpha!

Haali Media Splitter removement fixed it for me.

Game crashes due to conflicts with 3rd-party codecs (like K-Lite etc.)
After uninstalling K-Lite Codec Pack all went good: no CTD, game starts normally

Confirming (just seen concolor's post after uninstalling K-Lite off the back of iFred's message...

Have un-installed K-Lite and now works for me - definitely a Codec issue, with FFshow I believe.

+1 for iFred and for concolor

When I started my launcher it didn't mention 2.01 but the play button changed to upgrade.

After the upgrade finished My launcher still shows Gamma 2.0. No mention of 2.1. I did a check for updates and it said I was up to date. Is this normal?

Mine crashes during the title video. Music reaches a high point, and video is suddenly scaled to fill the entire screen. That's when the game crashes back to desktop. Ticketed.

edit: Uninstalled FFDshow, did not help. No other codec packs or Haali Media Splitter installed.
