Give us the option to remove mods from suits and weapons.

My suggestion is explained very quickly:
Give us the option to remove or overwrite mods from suits and weapons.
This is the hands down and by far THE worst feature of Odyssey. It doesn't make sense, it's not realistic, it forces a lot more grind than really needed and it definitely is one of my biggest disappointments in Odyssey.

I personally could accept perma-mods on armour, but definitely not on the weapons. It's just ridiculous.

not really, they could add a "combine" suits/weapons.
By that i mean take a suit G5 with 2 slots and 2 mods, then a G2 with one addon. combine them and lose the G2 to get the addon on the G5.
Then for example you'll have to pay a fee that increase each time you use that service with a few (I said a few, please stop the grinding machine) ressources that are not rare but smartly provided, glue and a random metal for example.

And if they have cold feet about that they can, just allow this only 2 or 3 times per stuff.
This way you HAVE to upgrade the equipment, but the addons can be recycled from other stuff, can be self made or bought from stall.

Oh and of course if the stuff has multiple addons, you'll chose one only and the rest would be lost.
Then there is no point in engineering as everyone will just buy stuff with mods. This will make it harder for people starting out to get good stuff as all the vets will bogarde gear just to experiment. Might as well lock the Caring and Sharing thread, human nature will show.

Unfortunately, nothing has changed in all this time. It would save us a lot of time and trouble and would also bring the engineering in Odyssey closer to the engineering of the spaceships.
This would be a small but important change.

Those of us who didn't wait finished all the Odyssey engineering years ago and moved on to other things as it turned out to be 'very easy'.

Anyway, I hope you are enjoying your wait (y)

The "I did all the Odyssey engineering already" type comments are just proving that the system discourages experimentation. You've used the same equipment for years? Boooorrrrrriiiinnnngggg

Maybe it was methodical experimentation where you can check how much better or worse your latest brainstorm is because you have the previous versions to test it against?

Just because you’re experimenting doesn’t mean you can’t be boring as well.
