I recall when NMS switched from OpenGL to Vulkan, performance went up, detail down, but they have been improving that over the years!
I couldn't have put that any better!On top of that dx/dlss are neither open source nor GPU/OS agnostic, which limits usecases and accessibility even further.
Maybe that is one of the reasons my PC dual boots, and spends as much time as practical in linux! (if I could use the Q3 and a couple of games that refuse to emulate well, in linux, I'd be very happy kissing Microsoft goodbye for the last time.
