Many of us played Elite I back in '84... by now, we're ageing disgracefully. Also jeez I never thought THIS many people were older than, like, 20. I feel like some kind of beacon of youthful idiocy.

More hypocrisy ^^^^Forcing others to play the game the way YOU want is what gankers DO in the first place. What you are so scandalized about are just words, won't hurt anyone. Just to set things into the right perspective for you.

30 years, you mean... well 35...Still playing video games more than 20 years later is pretty graceful. Truly, the most epic of gamers.
No one is forced an no one said it is. Except many new players might get into Open with the illusion to meet up with some decent humans. This dream is quickly and thoroughly destroyed by the mindless seal clubbers. We might disagree about the question whether that's healthy for the game or not...
This kind of thing only happens maybe 1% of the time.No one is forced an no one said it is. Except many new players might get into Open with the illusion to meet up with some decent humans. The Open-Only PP group are trying to... but no, nobody else is....but we agree no one is forcing anyone to play a certain way, are they?
This kind of thing only happens maybe 1% of the time.
This is just more extreme over exaggeration to push an agenda.
Ok, but by clicking "open" you don't get to make that choice. But then, playing in Open shouldn't mean you want PvP either.

No and that's what' I'd call hypocrazy: How would I ever force a ganker not to gank, or a seal clubber not to do what he obviously likes so much? It's all talking and opinions, soft and kind words that seem to hurt those gankers oh so badly.
What if the words were your address, real life name, and Social Security number?
I fail to see any soft and kind words from you and others like you.No and that's what' I'd call hypocrazy: How would I ever force a ganker not to gank, or a seal clubber not to do what he obviously likes so much? Wow, over stuff in Elite? Like, in the video game? Really?
Nah man, gankers would love that mega server structure where they could get their hands on you enmasse. If something like that were implemented, the ensuing PvE white knight massacre would look something like this:
I know threeofnine quite well! Good fellow. Just hasn't been playing much these days
His videos are always entertaining
Thats what most gankers play the game for. They live off other peoples reactions which make the game fun for them.More than likely
I'm just here to mine salt, not gonna beat around the bush. Taunting those who get too uptight about this game is really fun when you've sunk 5000 hours in and are really getting bored of it. The Meta-game politics are the only endgame content. Keyboard PvP
No, I won't get that far. Lets ground it a little bit. From what I've gathered (correct me if I'm wrong), your general set of mind seems to be "Whatever I do in Open doesn't matter, as long it's not against the rules". Right?
Wrong. Everything you do in Open matters! A prominent example is piracy and its current state. Why do you think is it so? I'll tell you: Too many gankers who pretended to be pirates ruined the business for the pirates at the end.
So no, I'm not talking about sociopath, psychopath or whatever -path, just the plain old ***-hat I'm talking about.
Wait... what?I say you're overstepping the mark and revealing your true colours here. Perhaps just get over the fact that there are other modes that other p[layers now prefer to spend their time - and perhaps the direct and primary reason for that is that Solo mode isn't topsy turvy?
