Hey it's not my fault your analogy was perfect for proving my point
If you want to pat yourself on the back, I can't stop you.
But my God, what an insult to the playerbase.

You trying to twist my point into an insult in order to deflect away it isn't going to work.If you want to pat yourself on the back, I can't stop you.

Sorry.
The fact that the conversation about Open has even reached the point where such things are being brought up should be a bright as hell neon sign pointing out that there is a problem with Open as it sits now.No. You're not getting it.
I'm not the one saying that players are helpless, tied-up deer who need their hands held with another mode where the Bad People can't hurt them. You are.
I'm the one treating my fellow players like adults and urging them to take responsibility for acquiring evasive skills and proper loadouts, because I assume that they can.
Furthermore, I'm urging people to play in the mode best suited for their risk tolerance and skill level. What I am not on board with is suggesting that open be nerfed into some safespace, or that there be a safespace toggle available in open.
Just don't act insulted when people say that open is full of toxic players. And don't act surprised when open continues to bleed players and force them into Solo mode.
No the problem is that some people feel entitled to ruin everybody else's game experience for their own entertainment. And then when confronted with the fact that they are driving players away they decide to blame the players that are leaving instead of looking in the mirror.

Keep believing that. Players will keep getting forced into Solo and we will continue to see threads with thousands of posts talking about how toxic Open can be. Which will just drive even more players away.Nah. Only a problem with players not managing their expectations properly.

Good luck with that.
Keep believing that if it makes you feel better.LOL "thousands".
Thousands of posts, maybe. Thousands of people who can't or won't hack open? Try again.
Open remains, by Frontier's own words, the most popular mode by far. If a small number of gankers were going to cause some mass exodus away from open, they would have.
Keep believing that if it makes you feel better.
Open would obviously be the most popular mode. That's not the point I am making and you know it. You are just being disingenuous in order to avoid admitting I am right. It's just the usual deflection tactics that you people use to back up your hollow posturing. All so you can avoid admitting that you all are causing issues for other players who are just trying to enjoy the game.If you have a better source of info than Frontier itself, then by all means share.
From my experience the one to start calling everyone else toxic over an interaction that’s purely through game mechanics, and no chat trash talk or anything, are actually the toxic ones themselves. That's a yes lol
By all means continue to play that way. Just don't act insulted when people say that open is full of toxic players. And don't act surprised when open continues to bleed players and force them into Solo mode. Because players like you are the cause. You are just reinforcing the stereotype of what an open player is.
You mentioned Mobius? Imagine if all of those private groups that fled open actually still played an open. Imagine how much more player interaction we would have. How many more squadrons. How much coordinated bgs activity we would have. How many more people would be willing to engage in power play.
Open could be so much better and souch more populated if people would just stop griefing players in Open.
"No u"From my experience the one to start calling everyone else toxic over an interaction that’s purely through game mechanics, and no chat trash talk or anything, are actually the toxic ones themselves.

Sounds like the system is working as intended.
Yes. I'm sure FDev intended players to be driven into Solo mode or to leave the game entirely due to griefers. I'm sure that was on the drawing board day 1.So... the worst that happened from the horror of seeing a rebuy screen is that some players made better mode selections going forward?
Sounds like the system is working as intended.
No, just emergent content.
If the point goes over your head that’s not my fault. If you don’t like the game mechanics a mode offers, there’s other modes. People aren’t obligated to follow some made up code of behavior because you personally find it more agreeable. And, to assert that these people who you don’t agree with are automatically toxic and bad for the game, is toxic in and out itself."No u"
Good contribution as always.
