Griefers make open impossible, and how easy the solution is.

Stations could hand out superpower-wide missions with significant rewards for hunting down station killers. Repeatedly. Now that could lead to some interesting dynamics ...
But Security which is both unbelievably slow and a threat to about Mostly Harmless Commanders only is, well ... a bit on the pathetic side if you ask me. And it is not that they didn't introduce a fast response force already ...

Oh, I just realized it's not 2016 anymore. Sorry for repetition ...

3. As long as it's permitted by game mechanics, it's legit. [...] So yea, ganking is acceptable behaviour.

Lets say u have spent 8 hours prepraring dominoes for dominos day. You know this is what u do for living. And some spoiled kid comes over and ruin it for lulz because he knows there is no law forbiding ruining dominos and you cant beat him up cause u would get fired. No consequences. I can imagine that surely has happend somewhere.
Is that "acceptable behaviour"?
Remember that this is example from real life. Not virtual game or stuff.

Then why posit it?

Violent...toxic...full of insane serial-killers...only issue I have...didn't met any of them in San Tu 10 mins ago. 😕

While I can't verify the violent, toxic, or serial killing side of things, I did get interdicted by someone while heading to the engineer in Alioth. And I learned that entering orbit breaks an interdiction, which I didn't realise before. The two engineers I visited before that were quite clear of aggressors, though (a few hollow squares were in the area). First time I've been interdicted by a human (presumably :D) for months!

Of course it's not your turf, sporty.

They're actually nice. Too bad you dont write those as fast as that endless stream of "git gud" psalms in hotel california.
Because Elite is hardcore you see. We got to grind for five years and are really bored. Go in open but be sure to grind for a hundred hours so you can unlock heavy duty G5 shield boosters. Then you wont even fear a frontal crash on a high G world and me and my buds here we can chain interdict you because I roleplay Darth Vader from the lego Star Wars universe.

Do you have anything substantial to share ON TOPIC, or are you just here to get personal?

Not quite comparable, because in Elite you CAN beat the crap out of that spoiled brat. Never heard of anyone got banned because he went out to fullfill his revenge. As you said...there are NO consequences in Elite. It's what I do, when I got jumped from behind. Switching to my boat and hunt that jerk down.

Comparing murders, stealing, and destroy your domino with...gank, when you can loose few millions to rebuy (with few hundred millions per hour in mining)
** this **, I'm out.

Ive never made hundreds of millions an hour doing anything in this game. Btw mining is boring and it’s been nerfed. How about buffing everything else.

 No way!!! Where can I live my serial-killer-attitude out than in ED! You CAN'T propose that! Think of all the children out there in the harsh environment of the suburbs.

Thats what Rust is for. And Red Dead online.

Why apply any punishment thou? Better use this as matchmaking, so pvp players would filter themselves apart from pve carebears. Also add function to turn pvp instancing on and make it one way trip. Asking for punishing others couse they have diffirent playstyle is foolish imo. Even if that playstyle is sociopathic-like experience.

You can rename the hotel, but you'll still not be leaving...

For years people have been asking for a "PvP flag". And they fail to understand that it is already implemented using modes... No matter how often you explain it, and however small the words you use. And if you do manage to finally make someone understand, someone else will come along and start it all off again.

These forums are great. :)

Feel insulted and take it personnal, I dont care. Just dont lie about unlocking and engineering a ship in a matter of hours when it took you actually five years of casually playing Elite and are now casually training for casually seal clubbing.

Sometimes roleplayers should get a bit of reality check before posing as uber competitive esport progamers in the hardcore Elite sandbox.

2-3 hours per engineer. A bit longer for Palins 5kly. Elite in Trading in a day with mining.
Mats per missionrunning or USS-Grinding...the rest you trade at the brokers. Starting from scratch you should have your fully enginieered FDL in about 3 weeks gaming time.

And for your information: I don't club seals...I club sealclubbers.

Somehow I find your name amusing. For a Mastodon you're quite thin-skinned.
