Gutamaya vs core dynamics

Okay, in a fixed number of ships skirmish, with equally millitary disciplined, drilled and skilled pilots, equally adept Field Marshalls, and the right load outs and strategies for the strengths and weaknesses of each fleet, it's a close call, but probably a Fed win. In a war, however, I think the Empire would absolutely murder them. With the larger achievable jump ranges, the Gutamaya fleet can respond, re-enforce, and resupply way quicker than the Core Dynamics fleet could dream of.

I think youre not taking into account proper strategy or actual ships' ombat performance. From the top teir of ships down, Imperial ships are at a disadvantage in combat effectiveness. How can an inferior force defeat a superior one? You think jump ranges will change this? When you consider a fleet's supply chains originate from their base systems, the supply line are already short. In fact, why would a military organization allow its supply lines to be vulnerable when they do not have to? They wouldnt. Its tactically unsound. Running out of supply has ended many military actions in history. Any student of war knows this in the 21 century. Im sure its not a forgotten lesson.

Imperial ship are out gunned and out maneuvered. Their only advantage is speed and being able to masslock which points to them using hit and run tactics with more numbers than the target to account for their lack of firepower. This would naturally force federation forced into a defensive posture which negates youre jump range.

Theres no way the Empire wins an even fight.
