Yes. Landed, drove around for a couple of hours, found absolutely nothing of interest, gave up. Back to full-time flying.

Glad I supported the devs, but not buying further expansions unless they expand on flying.

Uggh this one does. You are getting crafting, ship launched fighters, materials in space, and multicrew. All of that pertains to 'flying' in the core game. Landing on planets is only a small part of the expansion as a whole. Thing a little.

No, and dont plan to as long as FD continues its current approach. I have a real issue with FD's marketing strategy and direction.........The obvious cash-grab and diming can only hurt FD's future prospects. Maybe thats what they plan to do, gouge the players until its dry then close up shop? I dont know but it IS a strange direction.

Yep. Pre-ordered. Tested. Complained about it. But in the end still happy.
Becoming a bit tired of them selling incomplete things though, but we do know we'll get more later, so.. yeah.. allright.
(Now just fix those darn bugs!)

Perhaps you should have researched what Frontier had planned for ED before buying into it. Paid add-ons were always planned and have been talked about repeatedly, all the way back to the kickstarter in 2012 it has always been public knowledge.

Far from hurting ED, this is what sold me on the project, long term support and updates.

I know it does.

Having the last two options as "No" is disingenuous. By being a backer or LEP buyer, you implicitly agreed to "purchasing" Horizons and beyond. Whether or not you are happy with it, is a different matter.

For the record, I bought the LEP when Horizons was announced and I am very happy with it. Trying to find enough hours in the day to balance ranking up in combat, filling up the Trutter and doing the surface stuff!

I'm enjoying Horizons for the most part: landing on planets, driving around the SRV, expanded commodities, more to explore, etc. I'm hopeful for the future: the features they have listed as forthcoming sound fun.

On the other hand, the release seems somewhat buggy. Between the API server going down and not coming back up and navigation routes resetting on each jump, I'm a bit frustrated. Hopefully they'll get those problems sorted out, although a week from launch it's surprising those issues haven't at least been mentioned as being worked on. Hopefully it's just a matter of the people who can fix them are on holiday. I guess we'll see in the next couple of weeks.

I don't think you know how game development works at all.

I agree have some rep it's attitudes like that guy posted that have made the so called AAA game market as bland and moronic as a bag of pre salted porridge lol some folks just cant appreciate an artistic and inspiring endeavour because they bring nothing to the game themselves, oh well i guess there are other full galaxy sims out there that will continue to grow and engage just like Elite does.......oh wait.......

have some rep commander.

I get a bug that appears to be related to the main ingame menu system in star ports that freezes my whole system and forces me to do a hard reset, this happens about 10 times a day so far and can be frustrating (literally game stopping) but this sort of thing would happen a bunch in the original alpha and early release last year and FD got it hot fixed so it may surprise some people with both less patience and imagination, but im very happy with horizons and looking forward to more.

53 % happy campers.
Wow!
So what are you doing on those planets which makes you so happy?
I got a bit bored after the 30th or so generic surface.
It would be a better experience though, if there was a working exterior view, but hey, shouldn't open up old wounds again.
I wish I was so easily impressed by simple things.

I'm enjoying broadly so this includes new missions, SRV's, crafting, generated surfaces, and ships .. as an extension of my regular game.

I have it on KS LTP so to show continued support I bought it again so I now have a spare cmdr to do, err stuff with :p

I purchased myself a copy (pre-ordered) as did my 7 friends.

Then I bought a copy for another friend (Christmas/Birthday present).

Currently parked on a cold rocky moon, tied to a port in my Black Friday Search & Rescure DBS and very, very much enjoying myself.

Edit: I've been looking for a craft to use soley to engage with planetary missions. I've got the big boys back at base, ready as and when. Tried the Asp Scout but wanted something a little faster and smaller. I find the DBS perfect for hopping over the planet's surface with my SRV in tow. I picked one up a fair while ago as a novelty, and now I've found a reason to hop back into this lovely little craft. :)

The game has been out for 6 days and you have been on 30 planets already? I do wonder if there is a disconnect between what I would call "alpha players" and the game content.
Way back in Everquest, I was in a power guild. Every expansion launch was a race to get those new 5 levels, to find the new farm spot for gear, to defeat the new boss mobs. then sit around for 6 to 12 months bemoaning the lack of content, whilst lowbies plodded through enjoying each new facet as they came across it.

These days my work / home / pc time balance means I am firmly in the lowbie camp. Maybe this is why I am worthy of faint derision as being "so easily pleased"?

I can't vote twice but I bought it thinking the LEP wouldn't still be available when I got paid. It was so I bought the LEP as well. I didn't ask for my Horizons money back because I figured they could keep it since I haven't bought any merch in a while.

Would you rather pay a subscription?

I am glad I bought the expansion pass. At an extra £30; yeah I would have bought it as this is the game I have been waiting for many years, but happy I don't have to.

Yeah; I divide the last two options in half and add their %'ages to YES: And am happy with it.
