Help Frontier with a positive review?

I am getting as high as 25 frames per second in my ship outside conflict zone installations.
20% of the missions i did the last time i played were completeable.

By writing positive reviews of broken games/DLCs you'll only feed the monster called "Releasing half-baked stuff" which is a real cancer of the gaming industry nowadays.
You're right, of course - but pre-orders are the biggest issue. The cynic in me thinks that Frontier knew this might be an issue at the end of last year and cynically added in the paid alpha in order to lock in those pre-orders before fiscal year-end.

And do you think Odyssey will prove to be a successful improvement within the next 4 weeks? Then write a positive review... this is when Frontier needs us!
Customers need to leave honest and accurate feedback. Frontier isn't going to collapse because they pushed out an expansion before it was completed. Far from it.

I was lucky to login and play some time (on first days I switched to other activities and had no permanent issues with the log in into the game later).
Good things I've noticed:
  • npcs at planetary cz do not look as complete npcs, that is, they are smart enough
  • new visuals in space combat are just great (though I've set gamma 1.5 in nvidia settings for the monitor, probably it worth noting that ED always has been too dark for me and I always used tools to increase gamma in the game), combat zones are just fireworks :)
  • new hyperjump tunnel, yay! and it's amazing!)
  • high quality settings are back and you can see phasing sequence effect again
  • auto-landing, yay!)
  • design of new areas where I can walk looks good for me in terms of general consistency with the rest of the game
  • I like npc cmdrs animations and voice acting
Generally I am happy that FD managed to do it and not delayed release till lets say next winter, that's above my expectations.
The launch is as expected. The process always has been like this.
System requirements grows for me all the time. I started played on something like geforce 820m -> geforce 1050 -> geforce 2080
Every hardware upgrade was linked to updates in the game. I guess that expecting the game once fully completed to work same fast on hardware from 2014 is slightly not correct.

ANY level??

Trouble is (OP) most people who might like to think they're 'responsible consumers' offering 'constructive criticism' apparently in the form of jumping up and down on the (whole) dev team and spitting their dummies, doesn't do anything to constructively improve the game, it just makes people leave, not wait for updates but go, which hurts the game (didn't you want the game to be better?)

That's what happened to Star Wars imo. Fans so hated on the creator - for his highly creative prequels - he decided he'd had enough, folded and went fishing. Good for him I say and what did everyone else win? Mary Sue Palpatine Skywalker! So given that experience, unless the idea really is to bring ED down, it doesn't hurt to tone things down a bit. If the idea really is to make ED:O better why not stick with the people who gave you ED:H? Not even for ONE week???

Especially given framerate probs, most people here possibly too busy posting here to have really got to grips with EDO yet imo but I made up my mind and - no matter the OP is an idea that's always going to backfire. No matter what, in fact - I like Odyssey, a lot. Nothing good on ANY level? Tried playing the game for a few hours? My guess is it never happened. I played a lot over the weekend with good performance and I'm still uncovering basics.
  1. I understand your sentiment.
  2. I played Odyssey for 15 hours probably now...
  3. I changed my review on Steam on Sunday to reflect my experience, leaving the negatives in that review for everyone to be aware of them, but adding positives and basically changing my review from "Not recommended" to "Recommended". Why? I generally like it, even with its bugs...
  4. I paid my real money, not some "early beta money" or "late alpha" money, it is hard earned currency, so I expect real product, yet I am willing to wait for hotfixes
  5. I do not think emotions play significant role in the way businesses operate. They do not take offence when customers are not happy. Their decision matrix should be purely objective
My 2 cents. And also to let you know, that some of the haters did change their mind a bit...

I still think they should work on the Galmap a LOT!

Also an explorer, System map is horrific, Gal map is good in places but functionally worse. DSS scanning is broken (filter maps for heatmap isn't working)
SO no cannot be positive about a DLC that broke the game (or parts of the) that i actually liked.
