Engineers How do we get Elvira Martuuk to level 5 on FSD engineering?

I've now upgraded the FSD on 8 ships to level 4 with Elvira Martuuk on Khun (not with pinned blueprints). How do we get her to pop the level five options? Is there a combination of things that we can do/provide her to get off of the level 4 plateau?
 
If you started from scratch with each ship you should have already been there long ago.
Is the engineering status bar by Elvira's name in the upper left corner moving as you to
do the upgrades? I'd consider putting in a help ticket. Not aware of any Beta changes.

Depending upon your experience with the game what info are you not telling us?

Just modding one FSD upon unlocking Elvira took (takes - I do resets a lot) me up to G5 mods and level 5 access - maybe you didn't do enough G4 mods to unlock the G5 level?

As I mentioned, 8 ships fully at level 4 on the FSD, and level 3 on Shields. She's still sitting at around 75% on the bar.

I just unlocked 3 engineers on my alt today.
They were sticking like that too.

I'm pushing 2,500 hours on this account, I've been in and out so many times I'm surprised I don't have an EDSM achievement badge :).

I think I'll bug it tomorrow.

Ah, yeah for sure in that case.
Speaking as someone who just went through the whole process again, if you've done even a single module there and kept rolling G4 it should have gone over within 8-10 rolls.

I misread your OP, sorry. Yes that is not right, raise a support ticket and they will manually intervene for you. Don't make it just a bug report, you get no feedback on that (in case you didn't know that already), actually raise a ticket.

Ticket was filed yesterday, haven't heard back yet. OP, did you get your issue sorted out?

Were they listed as "Legacy" mods? I found this at Flic's place the other day with a G5 FSD I needed to put Mass Manager on. A lot of my engineering on one account was messed-up when 3.3 went live, missing pinned mods etc.

No, nothing about Legacy. I can't do "anything" to them, it's like they're "locked" from further engineering. If they were Legacy, I could at least start at the reduced grade.
 
Just an update to my "Grade 4 locked" beam lasers at Broos place. Got an answer from Support, was suggested I take a "new module" there and basically start from scratch with upgrading to reach level 5, I need to improve my rank, really.

I responded by saying that's kinda ridiculous, I already have 2 modules that were fully upgraded to grade 4 by Broo, they should be ready for grade 5, but are locked out. Half way through the grade 4 progression, grade 5 should have been made available, be available now, but it's not/isn't. Why these modules were/are locked out at completed grade 4 is beyond any reasoning I can come up with. I've engineered a lot of modules lately, and these are the only ones that have been a issue.

Haven't got a response to my rebuttal yet.
 
Sounds to me like you just don't have enough rep with Elvira. It doesn't matter what Broo thinks of you, or what you did there. It's just up to your rep with Elvira herself. Do a few upgrades on a throw-away module or something, and you'll have it.

Elvira is Grade 5 already, nothing more to be done with her.

These beams were pinned blueprints, and after the update I can no longer upgrade them remotely, or at his base. Something is out of whack "game wise", and needs to be sorted out, so I can continue to upgrade these beams to level 5, from finished level 4, by "crafting modules".

The only thing it says when I go to his base is (currently sitting there):

"Buy more Modifications to Unlock next Grade"

That's what I'm trying to do, but the beams are locked out from further modifications, and they shouldn't be. They're stuck at grade 4, and won't let me modify any further. So, how do I get to grade 5 if I can't buy more modifications, doesn't make any sense.

It's ridiculous to make someone start "all over" with a new module, just to complete what I should be able to do with these modules already at grade 4.

The only time I've seen something similar is when I was engineering remotely, I max'd my gr4 rolls, but I had never rolled gr4 at the actual engie base, so my rep had never increased for them.
I had to go to their actual base, and re roll all level 4 rolls before gr 5 opened up.
But I see you're at her base.

TL;DR you do not gain rep by rolling remotely.

I've tried remotely using the pinned blueprint, until they were locked out. I've gone to Broos base, still can't do anything with them. Sent numerous messages back to support, not getting any response.

I basically told them it's ridiculous that I have to start from grade 1 with new modules, when I have 2 grade 4's that were upgraded "through this engineer". Seems to be falling on deaf ears for some reason. It's not hard to see what the issue is, they've been locked from further upgrading, even though there finished grade 4. They just need to be "unlocked" so I can continue to upgrade them. All requirements have been met, they're just sitting there waiting to go to level 5, which I can't do because they're locked, it's a viscous circle.

It's stupid to suggest I start with new modules. I don't need new modules. I need to get the option back to continue upgrading these ones.

It's like taking a Fsd to get upgraded, getting to "finished level 4", but not having the materials to start level 5. Then when you get the materials to carry on at level 5, you find out your existing fsd can't be upgraded any further because it's locked out, and they tell you, you need to start with a new fsd from level 1 again, and when it's up to level 4, again, level 5 will become available. It should be available now.

It's simply stupid to even suggest that as a resolution.

Just a hint - did you actually raise a support ticket with them https://support.frontier.co.uk/view.php , not a bug report? You don't get any feedback on bug reports but you get email confirmation and answers to "Tickets". I have always found support to be extremely helpful and very responsive.

Ya, I have a ticket, with one "ridiculous" response, suggesting I start from grade 1 again on a new module.

These beams are fine at grade 4, they shred things up as is, but it's principal now. I hate knowing they're stuck at grade 4, when there's no reason for it. If I'm too lazy to get the mats to upgrade to grade 5, that's on me, but I'm not, but starting at level 1 is just stupid, and unnecessary grind.

And thanks for taking the time to respond, at least someone is listening. I've dealt with support a few times, always been great, don't understand why the reluctance to fix this issue.

Don't let the ticket close, keep making updates on it.

I found on one of my accounts that some of the pinned mods had disappeared after an update, I got the cut-and-paste fob-off response so wrote a stinking reply - after which they apologised and made an excuse - but I still had to write a stinger that they hadn't got around to answering my question. Finally I got a considered response from them apologising and then explaining that they don't actually have to tools to go in and fix that particular issue. Well I left it at that as I had already gone to those engineers and did the "pinning" again plus by now another update got them even more snowed under, even though I can't believe that going in to an account and setting a flag is beyond their ability.

It's still open, just looked. It's been about 18hrs since my last response, nothing back from them. Don't know what else to say, or suggest. To me it's obvious what's happened, if they can't "fix it" then say so. But to suggest starting from grade 1 again, with no other explanation, is kinda poor on their part.
