How to find Power Down Power Grid Missions aka does ED use logic for mission spawns

I want to understand if there was logic put in how and when certain mission types are spawn in the mission board.

I chose a rare mission type I am looking for and that is
the Power Down Power Grid missions and similar that involve you to sabotage a power plant installation or etc on a moon.
So far all I red on the forums and Reddit is complete speculation spawn by people that happened to encounter the missions and are pointing at the wrong places.
Here is a simple example:

Theory: Government == Anarchy
Here dumb dumbs throwing rocks at ANARCHY Systems. I checked that, in fact the only anarchy system in witch I know they were spawned was exactly Eurybia. Now because that is an Anarchy systems the dumb dumbs think that is one of the reasons they spawn there.

Theory: State == Civil War AND Economy == Military (or and) High Tech
Here on the official forums I saw a thread that was archived after 1 guy claimed they are spawned at STATE == Civil War and mainly at Economy == Military.
After testing that and getting no results I used the knowledge that they spawn also at Economy == High Tech and Industrial (sicne they spawned in Eurybia and around it). Again no results.

I began to think the Government the State and the Economy have 0 to do with this missions.
But they required to have a moon in the system that had a power plant. The reason for that is because I encountered them on the system ECYLLA and that system was DEMOCRACY and AGRICULTURAL REFINERY. So screw the importance of system government and economy. However because of advanced economy I think the higher the chance that there is an important "power plant" station at a moon in the system. But I needed to be sure.

I have visited multiple systems that were at CIVIL WAR and Military (or and) High Tech and ANARCHY. Witch BTW was an extremely rare situation. I can't believe that so many systems in Anarchy are not ever in CIVIL WAR. Needless to say did not encounter the missions there. Even if this particular systems had all the Ingredients for this missions to spawn.

Next step was for me to just scout the mission boards of different systems that had moons with this Power Plants on them. And I randomly found one - Kappa System ... how ironic right? The Faction was Tjiwang Gold Brotherhood

Since my previous experience with those missions was that once I found them at once system I would found them at other systems near by.... My conclusion was I will magically just find them at a near by system again for no LOGICAL reason at all but pure random bull.

And I was right since they were also at "HIP 36081" given from the Atayuta Silver Crew

I want you to compare this 2 systems:
Kappa and HIP 36081
At the time of encountering them the ONLY shared trait was the Government == Corporate and we know that is irrelevant since previously we found those missions in anarchy . EVERY THING else was DIFFERENT! But the way I found the second system was I was looking for a STATE == Retreat I am pretty sure back then in Eurybia I saw a Retreating faction. So what the hack, I actually found them again in a Retreating system .... but they were not given to me buy the retreating Faction but by an other in an other state ...
So I turned to inspecting the exact only factions that gave me the missions and their current states:
Tjiwang Gold Brotherhood and Atayuta Silver Crew
The only in-common thing they had was that they were the faction with the lowest % in the system ... Well that is something I guess, but in every system there is a faction that is at the lowest standing ...
The better one was that one of them was in State == Retreat and the other was in a system that major faction was in a State == Retreat

Conclusion all I get is that they spawn in a system that there is a Retreat State of a faction. Second that there should be moons with "Power Plant" Facilities.
If the game have 0 logic behind where the missions spawn I can uninstall pronto and eat a potato.

I believe this is a game for adult people that like to use logic.

However it is extremely silly when all logic is being tested and you come to the conclusion that it is really just random chance a particular mission type will spawn and when it does it spawns to a lot of places near that system. Disregarding their current states, governments, faction states or whatever.

So I am here to elaborate on how exactly to find this missions with the logic that game provided to us from the Galaxy Map or external tools. Please if you encounter this mission types make a post by filling this information.

So...firstly I applaud any effort to figure stuff out like this, and if there's truly no logic behind mission generation I'm equally disappointed.

Secondly though to say that this is a game for adult people, and then to post in a multicoloured/multisized style only fit for a My Little Pony fanclub forum is probably not helping your case one bit.

Good luck in your efforts.
I'll post some relevant findings once I have time to gather them.

Hehe yea I learned this coloring from the younger gamers :) Believe it or not as childish as it seems it's suppose to attract the attention and it does. However what am I suppose to say. From my entire invested time in this I found that there is almost Zero Logic between the state of the system and the missions that spawn there. Really the Galaxy Map is useless when you are looking for particular missions. This thread will probably be ignored by most people since it involves you doing something that is not beneficial but don't wary I got that covered. After all everyone is interested in making lots of money in the game and this missions you can do in an upgraded sidewinder. If no one shows interest I would just clarify why they would want to be looking for them.

Honestly, part of the issue is that mission boards and state have a delay. You'll get 'Boom time' and 'War time' missions the day after the boom or war state ends. So throw that into your tests for a higher stress level and more aggravation.

I was reading this with interest until your font colors made me nauseous, I'm now real life sick and do not know what your post concluded with. Presentation is everything.

The paler colours are also really hard to read for someone using the white "Official Frontier theme" forum format.

Here is a small amount of logic for you: attacking a base is a criminal act. Missions requiring you to perform a criminal act are much more likely to be offered by Anarchies than by Lawful factions. Therefore, Anarchy factions (such as the ones you found) are far more likely to offer this mission type. Whether the Anarchy faction is actually the governing faction is largely irrelevant. The advice about Anarchy governments offering more of these is only correct in that governments generally tend to offer more missions than minority factions.

I suspect that any state that causes a faction's percentage of the available missions to increase will increase the chances of those missions occurring. Boom, War/Civil War, Expansion all might do it. The state of the system (government faction) is irrelevant, only the state of the Anarchy faction offering the missions.

Anyway off the colour topic ( [big grin])

From what I've seen - and I mean, we do a lot of missions in BGS groups - it's not so much a hard filter as a probability modifier.

-Massacre missions can happen anywhere, but happen a whole lot more during War or Civil War.

-Data missions anywhere, but a whole lot more in Boom (I'm counting Boom Data is simply an ordinary data courier mission + flavour text).

-Obviously smuggling is strongly tied to anarchy factions. I hardly see anyone else offering them.

I'll have to look more carefully into Power Down the Power Grid missions, as it's not a type I'd be interested in myself.

I think perhaps the logic is there, but the rules are 'soft' enough that they make it seem at times like you can find anything anywhere.
Maybe you can in fact find any mission type anywhere (where not disallowed for whatever reason), but with the many variables being vague - and some of them actually hidden (hidden system attributes- quality of life, development level, etc) - combined with the rules being "soft" it's not clear enough that there are rules.
That's rather hopeful though, as it means it's a simple adjustment of levels and you're not asking for a real addition.

Hope its not dead here!
As i just find this type of missions to be my main source of income!
I've passed several systems in close proximity to each other which had those missions and not always for the lowest fraction!
Will update u tomorrow (as am at work) if i wont hear from u before that!
