Says the guy with a 1080. Pathetic.This.
Drop the game back to a render target of 1 or 1.5 in SteamVR, set the in game SS to .75, and set the preset to VR Low and tell us how great a visual experience that is in the nearest station. We'll wait. Because that's the setup anyone on something weaker than a 980ti has to deal with before horrible frame rate drops kick in. That's the point. Vive owners shouldn't have to brute force decent visuals with raw power when Rift users get the experience you needed a 1080 for with just a 970/980.
You can't brute force your way to acceptable visuals with a card 1% own then come in and tell the 99% that can't do the same that everything is good and that there's nothing wrong. Don't be embryonic. This thread wouldn't exist if there was nothing wrong. It was rough on my 980ti which is why I upgraded in the first place. I'm not foolish enough to think that everyone here has another $600 to drop on a 1080 after just dropping $700 on a Vive. Find some perspective.
