What did they do it 1.1 to change how repetitive and boring this game is. In fact it's even more of a grind fest now. No improved content, just tweaks to slow everyone down.
And a fanboi is not someone who loves the game, there is nothing wrong with that. A fanboi is someone who loves the game so much they feel some sort of weird identity with it, so they take any criticism personally and feel compelled to defend the game, no matter have reasonable the criticism, usually aggressively by making fun of the critic, and telling then to go play something else. You get them in every game and every forum.

I saw the patch notes, answer the question then.
What did they do to make this game any less boring and repetitive in 1.1? Can you tell me because I can't see anything.
Sadly, people do it with EVERY GAME because they can, because of the anonymity of the internet and sense of entitlement. Even some of the best games ever made are going to have forum or e-mail complainers, such is life in the digital age. I just love it when they state their opinion as a fact that everyone agrees with! ;-)

Re-read the OP. He simply makes a statement that signs of with "I'm going to play other games" so I take it he is not after response, feedback, discussion etc etc because he is off to play other games having finally left ED behind

it seems everyone has a definition of fanboi, fanboy, Griefer, ganker. And the myriad of other terms used to simply pigeon hole a perspective different to that which you agree with. There are whole threads arguing about what exactly a definition is or isn't
take your definition, you can apply that to almost any post by any critic of ED on these forums. People who cannot accept that others may just not agree with their position.

You're right, that was just my definition, as I was explaining what I think a 'fanboi' was. although I didn't actually call him that.
You do realize that you basically called the game itself a "dead horse", right? Have you resigned yourself to the possibility that no improvements are going to be made to this game?
People involve themselves in different methods of consumerism. Some people complain loudly, whereas other people boycott silently. Those that state their opinions (at least those that are able to provide decent points as to what is actually WRONG with a product) are certainly more helpful to the designers of a product than those that just simply stop buying a product. Companies usually want to know what their customer base desires. A silent yet steady loss of sales might be desirable to other customers, but not necessarily to the company themselves.
