Dude I blew up on a 1.34 body three days ago cause I thought that descending at 550 m/s in a conda isn't too much cause for worry (I was in a hurry to rush back to the bubble) losing all data I had gathered after realizing that losing speed 10 km above the surface was an impossible task. All on a trip to unlock Palin. It is rare to feel as strongly as if everything just went down the drain cause of sheer stupidity.
However the day after I was too salty to let that pass, so, until yesterday I have been busy retracing my steps using the galaxy map and have recovered most of my data. Haven't ventured as far as last time but did way more additional systems, and mapped the culprit that killed me after looking for him for ages like some vengeful ghost, dubbing him the destroyer of millions (of credits).
If you are OCD-ey enough you can do it too, at least a chunk of it. I wager you were using 3p tools. But 97 pages? Damn...Sorry.
Edit: Wrong picture of my killer. And after the last bookmarks in the outer orion spur there's roughly 1 k LY of stuff I also should recover.
