well with no black market we cant sell looted goods, id suggest taking goods from the bubble, we also need miners out there to metal,\ / mineral and ice mine in any local rings to supply raw materials

We dont want a black market... Why would we? So more saboteurs can drop off more UAs? No thanks. Stick to mining and srvs along with traders to get what is needed

Brilliant job Commander Cy, well done.

Any word on the station immediate needs?
Sounds like a rough trip with allot of damage to the station. I'm sure an armada of ships could be brought to bear on a rescue mission to make the station fully functional again.

400 billion systems, how can so many people believe Jacque was found by sheer luck?
EDIT: I tried to read the thread completely before posting, but I now read some more about the method used and the comment by MB.

@OP Right on, commander. I already repped you.

Soon™, there will very probably be a CG to repair it, (and it's no doubt a fun place to visit at the moment) so Meta alloys and mined commodities/materials will be needed.
What services does Jaques offer?:
Is there Outfitting there? (Refineries, Limpet controllers, mining lasers).
Is restocking possible there (Limpets, ammo, chaff etc).
Are repairs available?
Is there pirate activity there? (Actually, never mind. There will be soon :/ )

Off to get my Python and some MA's :)

I assume Frontier are just as surprised at a player finding Jaques so quickly.
I mean what are the odds?

Pretty high when you look into all the little 'holes' and 'obvious signs' the game broadcasts because of the way everything works.

1) The system advertises itself as having a population in the galaxy map. This means you can filter by population and find the systems that way.

2) I imagine the system also has a affiliation/state/economy which is also broadcast and can be filtered to only see systems where such things apply.

3) On entering the system there's a navigation beacon and generic NPC spawning like any other populated system. So you instantly know you've found something before even looking, even if you didn't notice the clear galaxy map signs.

4) The station was seemingly placed by human hands (Frontier) as such the area they pick is almost certainly going to be a area that drew someones attention in the first place. Either it was close to something identifiable by the human brain (Nebula, blackhole, known cluster of stars that are abnormal in some way), or the system had a anomalous name which drew their initial attention to it in the first place...... the galaxy may be big, but if you're leaving it to a human to pick somewhere to hide something within it, then the probable locations vastly decreases.

So what it more comes down to is configuring your galaxy map correctly and just prowling around it starting with the more obviously 'landmark' locations that would have drawn the attention of a human in the first place to pick it as a suitable location for something.

Think the station only has commodities and Mission Board. Other services are not active. So if you're heading out, stock up now you can repair or reload at the station once you get there (For now!)

Hopefully a CG will have us brining in resources required for putting station systems back on line, with the 7th being Full Station services and Engines avalible, so it can keep going to Beagles Point.

Oh, Pooh! (said Piglet)
I just checked the map. It's 22KLY out.
Don't know why but I thought it was just a few KLY.
I may be some time.
I'm just back from DW, so I need to engineer up my ship(s) anyway.

Okay screw it I'm bringing my Corvette, 19LY jump range is good enough to get there in a couple of days hard work.

STAHP YOU ARE MAKING MY BRAIN HURT

DUDE

THAT'S A THOUSAND JUMPS MINIMUM

Screw it, I'm bringing mine. Can't believe I have to sacrifice my beloved 70% resistance to all damage and 3000 hull strengthen. At least I have something to do over the weekend, after obligatory Polonium hunting because muh FSD rolls.

Planned route is around 1500 but I have a nice 4 day weekend coming up and I will knock it all out. Good news is that the Corvette is one of the coolest running ships so scooping is easy and fast since you can pretty much go as close as you want. I even have a grade 5 overcharged power plant.

I was actually pretty close to this location, so it didn't take me long to get here. Very interested to see what happens next... :)

Any smuggling missions going on there? I bet they'd pay a few billion each [haha]

For now no smuggling missions, u should get behind the effort for him to found other colonies and establish a new bubble, so for now we need a mix of miners / combat pilots and a lot of srv pilots to gather up materials from nearby planets so he can feed, work and keep himself running. Food, technology and other imports from the bubble are alwayus a good idea if youre heading out
