Say what you will, but it fell into the realm of legitimate game play back then. Any bounty hunter player or NPC could blow up a ship, collect the payout and that satisfied the letter of the law. Actually, pretty sure you can still blow up players with bounties and get paid.. it just costs them more when they rebuy than back then.
Well I did something for the first time last night!
One of the 'I have never' things I hadn't done but forget to mention was that I had never transported slaves. Last night I did, Imperial Slaves that is, as a mission, from one Empire station to another, perfectly legal. Did I feel good about it, nah, not really, but it sure paid well lol

I might even do it again if you keep on giving me obscene amounts of credits to move your frozen minions around
400 odd hours in and I've never flown an Alliance ship, never killed another commander, and never been killed by an adversarial commander (although I did get killed by my wingmate while he was experimenting with turrets and he didn't know how to turn them off. I was in a bone stock Sidey, so no rebuy. No harm no foul)

I have never seen a generation ship and don't want to find one through out of game means, so probably never will.
never been to beagle point.
Done most of the other things
own a T10 but no rank or cash or desire for the big 3.
Own many powerplay modules, but not all
never done a buckeyball race
never used FA off conistently
never caused damage whilst in multi gunner mode (xbox achievement) as nobody plays with gunner turret if indeed multicrew at all
never tagged a nebula or black hole
never made it to polaris
never got out of the ship
somehow never died, my escape capsule always rescues me, more than 200 times so far
never circumnavigated a planet (not for me)
never killed a proper thargoid (one day)
never met a CMDR in deep space by accident
never figured out why my crew member gets paid for sitting around doing nothing and always forgets to stay on my ship when I transfer it.
never understood why my ship can auto dismiss but I need a crew member to fly fighters together with the ship.
never understood telepresence
never got why a fighter can be printed but an srv cant?
never understood why srv cannot carry more than 2 tons

never been abducted by aliens (like so many npcs have)
never seen an npc face, they always have dark masks on
never seen my feet move, some pedal controls?
never used the bathroom on my ship to create biowaste
killed a character many times (rob holdstock), so never not killed an npc only once? is that a thing?

I had forgotten I created this thread, lots of fun re-reading it again.
Well I can now cross a couple of things off my list:
I finally got to see a Thargoid up and close, well close enough for me to turn tail and boost out of there - but I can now say I have seen one
I can also cross off not doing a Guardian Blueprint run, did one yesterday, got the one blueprint I needed, hopefully will never have to do another lol.
Oh and completely by accident, I can now say with a little pride that I have finally had a First Discovery, yep my Commander's name is now permanently scribed in the GalMap!

Thanks, it was totally unexpected, I only found out when I handed in my Exploration data. Unfortunately it isn't a full system, just the last gas giant and it's moons. Seems the Commander who discovered the rest of the system couldn't be bothered to go the final 2,000 odd LS - and I am damn thankful he was lazy lol
