So I need to earn more credits .. I 'm over the grind of "Road to Riches" Missions are pretty average return .. I've done exploring don't like shootm up stuff because I keep loosing a ship or two does anyone know does mining payoff and if so what part of the universe so I don't have to jump trillions of LYs .. or people moving its safe they say but again who wants to be endlessly jumping .. unless there's a shortened route to do this over and over? Looking for clear ideas places and best type of ship to do it? BIG ask but this forum has been so helpful. Thanks commanders.
1. Sightseeing
Robigo sightseeing missions to Sirius Atmospherics can net about 100 millions per hour, after you get allied with the factions in the system
You need to use a Python
built like this (as you can see, no engineering bar the tech broker 5A FSD V1) and run missions from Robigo Mines, stacking up sightseeing missions towards Sothis A5. Dont engage in combat, win every interdiction if you get interdicted, keep an eye for bounty hunters coming after your wanted passengers (such occurrences are rare, but not unheard off) and you can safely ignore whatever your passengers will demand during the 10 minutes trip
With some experience, you can do 6 missions per hour, and you can net about 100-120 millions for the first hour, then the mission board starts to dry out and you will fly without filling up all your cabins.
2. Exobiology
Exobiology can give a really good paycheck - you need a DBX
built like this (again, no engineering, just the tech broker 5A FSD V1 and the DSS)
Fly out of the bubble for like 500 ly in North or North Est (not towards the Colonia) and star filtering systems out for A, F and G stars - visit them, FSS them, if you find Bio signals and the planet has NO markings for First Footfall go and scan them.
Pay extra attention for systems with HMC planets - if a such planet has bio signals, there is a solid chance it will be the Stratum Tectonicas that gives almost 100 millions (with first discovery bonus)
Finding and scanning the plants might be tedious at times, but first discovery bonus makes it worthwhile
3. Supply/Delivery missions
Build a Python
like this - it requires more engineering, but it can work with minimal engineering if you manage to avoid all combat.
Settle in an industrial system with an outpost close to drop off point and pick up supply/delivery missions (but avoid the wing ones asking for thousands of cargo). Some fetch missions are also doable (like scoop blackboxes, art, whatever)
When you get allied with all the factions, the paychecks can be quite big, and the missions should have you sent to agri, high tech, refinery or extraction systems to source or deliver the good making for some decent variance - just make sure you evade all interdictions cause the ship is not fit for combat
