If I wanted a 'radio-tuning' game I would have rather bought an old radio.

You have mentioned this before, so can you quantify your statement? Exactly how many players are demanding to be teleported back, 1, 5, 50, 1000?

On the other hand with a reported 5,000 commanders signed up for DWE, which is more than double the number of participants to the previous one, it could be surmised that more players are embracing the new exploration tools!
There are now 8096 signed up for Distant Worlds 2

That's a seven-fold increase over Distant Worlds 1's tally of 1153 CMDRs. Crikey!

This goes out to all you old school "explorers" who just can't seem to adjust to the new reality that the ADS is gone and never coming back:
I'm an old school explorer, and I like the new FSS, just so you know. Hope you didn't include me or the other old school explorers who have embraced the new tech. :)

at least one. I suspect there might be a couple more about the place. Try to put yourself in their shoes. I dispute that the FSS is the reason DWE numbers are over 9000.

So umm err ONE. That is ONE (1) Commander you can verify that wants a free trip home. Yet your post alluded to a multitude, like it was some large group where in fact it is just one solitary commander …….

are you able to provide details on how many commanders signed up to DWE post mini-game update?

Yep was really hard to find (not) - go lookie here, current sign ups are 5,544 as at 03 Jan 2019

From the DW2 spreadsheet linked in my previous comment:

Beyond 3.3 went live the early evening of 11th December, so just for ease let's count from the next day (12th): 3378 signed-up. At this moment there are 8096 signed-up, so an extra 4718 since Beyond 3.3 went live - an increase of 140%.

I doubt the number of people signed up is the number that will actually go though. I'm signed up but I'm definitely not going. I did a 2k ly round trip and that was enough.

And? Dude invested his time in this game. Didnt deserve to end up like this and even if it is just one they should give him his ADS back. The FSS is excluding people, cant you take that on board? The galaxy has plenty for everybody there is no need for it to be this way.

Sorry, where is this button? Can't find any 'number of replies' text. Is it not available in all forum modes perhaps? Or wait, I have an idea, are you probably not watching directly form e-mail notification or the 'new posts' button?

edit:
No I don't see it, no matter where I'm coming from.

Looking at a thread in the forum view you will see xx Replies where xx is a number. Click on the number. :)

I did 2x 1k trips with it and a few trips back and forth to Maia and the guardian sites and that was my fill of it.*

I just ping any systems I pass through and only use the radio to find USS or mission targets.

I was one of these daft fools who believed that Frontier would add new and interesting stuff to exploration not just a new way to find the same old crap.

*Those trips were in unengineered ships and at times using small jumps so I scanned a lot of systems on my way there and back.

Whether you find such things "new and interesting" is entirely subjective though :p

Na its good, even if it does look like it escaped from world of warcraft. Not new tho, seen that a while back.

Seeing that picture just annoys me tho cause im not finding those things :(

Oh LavanG. Subbed to him 14 months ago!

Yes and if I want to know about these things I can go to the codex.

Can I analyse these things in depth to find out its composition, size, age?

Is there any way ingame to compare my findings on these objects with others?

That's another thing, I would've liked an option to hide these things in the codex so I can be at least a little surprised when I find them myself.
