"I'm a Doctor, Jim, not a coal miner!"

This is unacceptable.

Why is it that FDev always prioritizes payouts and exploits, but broken stuff like this gets ignored!? In almost every station I go, its been nigh unto impossible to find a decent set of cargo missions (I've been running cargo as my job since 2.3 hit). I tried passenger missions since they were paying well, but even then, the boards are filled with VIP's who want their own private cabin. And with today's nerf, those are rather useless too unless you gut your ship and spend the whole day making hyperspace jumps. Apparently not participating in an exploit means that you get all of the nerf and none of the credits. Guess its back to bounty hunting (again) so that I can make decent income.

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.
Missions available are very dependent on faction state. Could try some different systems and see what else is out there.

Well OP has a point though: I would rightly expect all those extraction missions be common in an extraction economy. But Cubeo has an agriculture economy, something is wrong.

I've been to many different systems since the 2.4 launch and its all the same story. Most of the boards follow one of these patterns:
1. All mining
2. All VIP
3. data/cargo runs to Colonia with some local data for less than 50,000CR.
4. all illegal stuff with a couple of moderate paying cargo missions.
5. "We need this junk" missions and donations (often demanding more than 250k CR)

2.3 missions boards were much better than this. It's hard to justify having a decent ship when the payouts are trash. I have an engineered Python and in 2.3, I usually made about 1mil per cargo run. Now I can barely even make 500,000CR per hour. And yet if I go bounty hunting, I can make 2mil in an hour. I like bounty hunting, but I enjoyed being able to do something else for a change. I really don't want to bounty hunt in my Python, but I also don't want to waste my saved credits outfitting a Vulture again. I'd also like to get some Rank for the Clipper (which is now kind of a useless idea given the state of missions).

I think I'm just going to wait it out and play something else until the boards get fixed. FDev has had ample opportunity to address this, but they decided to nerf payouts instead while the core parts of the game suffer.

No, only Chelomey Orbital is agricultural (as it orbits an ELW), the rest are refinery or extraction, I believe (could be industrial - but none of the other stations are agricultural). Good passenger missions from the first space station in the system, though (can't remember its name right now).

EDIT: That station is agriculture/industrial, according to EDDB: https://eddb.io/station/18731. Given that, the mission board makes sense.

Exactly. I've been grinding away in Cubeo for the last few months and this definitely not normal. The Prismatic Imperium used to offer mostly cargo missions, usually running food or appliances to neighboring systems. Occassionally there would be a 2 or 3 planetary scans and maybe a couple of donations. The other factions seemed like a normal mix too (a few extraction jobs, some massacres, etc), but now they're all terrible mission options. And its the same story for surrounding systems: Kou Hua, Iktock, HIP 5700... Its all the same junk.

Prismatic Imperium do still offer cargo missions. I was running missions from Chelomey Orbital all yesterday evening. While the missions have certainly changed, there are still lots of delivery ones. I tend to take the first I find that is worth over 2m, and then load up with other smaller ones to the same destination until my cargo hold is full. Usually makes me around 4 million per delivery, and I add a planetary scan (or two) to do on the way back.

not only that, but the wise tweak of "the Station only needs stuff mined you conveniently have not aboard at the moment" is totaly "awesome"

Last week I could fill my Annie with missions to LHS 535. Once I got there... Nothing, nada, zip, zero, I either had to take some low paying cargo or do donation missions, that was it. The rare mission offered there was just that, rare. In the systems I went to get donation stuff from, no missions to speak of there.

This week, I can still fill my Annie to LHS 535... But I can also fill my Python to Hyperion and make good money and then pick a ton of data missions and a couple of good paying missions to LHS 535 and somewhere else. I get to LHS 535 and I pick up a couple of well paying missions to other stations and then I deadhead back to TUN and start the process all over again.

This stuff goes in waves... Plenty of times I flown around to systems that had nothing for missions.. System after system. Finally I take a couple of low paying mission from a faction I have friendly or above rep and the missions start to flow. It's like I have rep, but don't. Doing some missions seems to lube the pipeline. And sometimes I just say the heck with it and grab my Viper or DBS and go kill something until missions start returning.

I'm allied to every faction in Borscht, and I'm getting trash courier jobs for commodities, mats, or less than 10K. In a Python. :(

Same. We need missions that give larger ships a purpose and still give you decent career options. I'm not asking for an instant Anaconda, I just want there to feel like owning better ships would actually have a purpose beyond "Its big and cool". There's barely a reason to go beyond an AspX right now, to be honest.
