You should go look at some of the other gen ships - it's the same model as them. The meteorite shield on the front is pretty different.the 3d model didn't look like a generation ship, just a megaship. It's a while since I've seen one though, and normally they're dead so could be wrong.
what is this "Open" you speak of?

(I made that up, but it's at the front, so works for me - someone will be along to correct me )Ah, it's meteorite shield. That would be why it had splash marks on it then. Nice.
Can we tow it to Witch Head?I went out to have a look too. I guess if they want to restrict contact, they'd better hope there's no windows...
Anyway, without any further gameplay opportunity, I left again.
I'll be back from the Witch Head Nebula if anything interesting is in the offing.
Maybe they need Beryllium? Can we tow it to Witch Head?

Like and umbrella for the solar storms huh
They are all zombies.. Let's blow them up!
They could teach us so much ....
- what to use as megaship (FC) fuel
- how a space society can survive without regular updates
- how to build bases on planets
- how to make bacon sandwiches properly
Another example the iceberg they are installing on the ship in the novel Songs of Distant Earth. If you've ever seen the movie Passengers, they had a energy umbrella that served a similar purpose. It looked pretty cool.

They're not wrong. A slow moving, horde of players will descend upon them moaning "Arrrrrrrxxxxxx......"I like the way they're playing up the paranoid isolationist angle. For all they know, humanity has turned into a bunch of ram-happy, interdicting space psychos competing with one another for the most tasteless paintjob of 3305. Er...
