If you look at RCT1/2 and 3. If you look at Sawyers UI for 1 and 2 The toolbar is at the top rather than the bottom my thoughts are that the reason behind this is because RCT is not just a building game it's a management game and people also like to observe their peeps so having the toolbar at the top means the UI does not hinder you view and immersion.

So my ideal UI would be something that's usable but also doesn't impact or distract from the immersion of the game. Main screen should be vibrate/colorful and fit the theme of the game. Like the website from page: https://www.planetcoaster.com/

Adding the "Multiplayer" button on the main screen, and two new windows ("Save" and "Content Manager")

This is really outstanding! The amount of thought pu into it, like the seacrh box, the step back/forward buttons and a proper content manager. If RCT3 had those things alone it would be far nicer to use!!!

As for the style itself, I really like it. I would say it could use a splash of colour... But if it was this clean to start with, it could actually be left up to the player to choose the colour schemes (like in windows).

I get that some people think it's similar to other UI's because it's modern, but being on trend is probably better than taking a risk with something new just to stand out.

I wonder if they will make the UI skinable like Cities did?

My wish is that the ui will work for people with 4:3 and 5:4 ratio monitors too. We exist. ;)

Also for people with multiple monitors please!
