Introducing the Pax Inter Astra Movement

Still working on how to predict variants

This predicts pretty accurate but not 100%. Yesterday I had 4 planets with bios, scanned 3 then 4th prediction was changed.
This is hinting your research - planets are bound, if 1 has something, then 2nd should have something else.

I absolutely love this community's enthusiasm. Beyond some of the ideas posted previously related to the science, it looks like the genetic sampler builds a profile of the species and on the final one does something to it (combust potentially). This is partly why I was operating on the hypothesis presence of key elements impacts variants of species (the color-code designation). If you watch the animation once you get the 3rd sample, your CMDR presses a button that does something to the collected samples in the canister. The Codex exploration section on exo-biology vaguely hints at this being the operative mechanic. The exo-biology video put out by FDev shows the CMDR triggering the final sequence. Based on Deep Space Network's research (link below) there may also be a component of historical and present geological activity.

Status update: [A.O.E.] Dharmachakra is at Drojau QK-Z c16-15 and I am making my way back. The plan is to start doing two carrier jumps back to back with 1 week layover to study the surroundings. This means we are about half-way there. We are looking for how big this region is actually, what kinds of sites are present, how eroded they are, and any key differences from Inner Orion Spur. I suspect there may be several hundred lightyears worth of sites. Depending on what is found the carrier will likely get repositioned to central location.

For those coming, you may want SRV Survey for mapping the sites. These are suspected of being newer than those in Inner Orion Spur ( https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/srv-survey/9ngt6rrh6b7n#activetab=pivot:overviewtab).

The closest system in Temple, to the carrier waypoint at Gru Drye KZ-N b52-0 on the route list, is Flyua Hypa AE-A b5-2 according to the Spansh database.

So I'll jump my carrier over to that area, and start heading toward the Guardian area through the Temple region, searching for clues and anomalies :)

Is that the Large Megallanic Cloud in the bottom right? Also, I am doing cross-checks on the region now and will report on any known structures in the region. My carrier is now at Thailoea PV-Z c2-0. I plan to move another 2 carrier jumps as of Saturday night.

According to what I am seeing on EDDiscovery we are headed towards the Arsaidh Nebula. In keeping with the shibboleth trend of certain groups hiding things from common knowledge by disguising the name, I'm going to go in-game and see if I cannot get proper astronomical identities. I suspect it isn't a proc-gen nebula. Will report back shortly.

In case you're wondering Arsaidh is Scots Gaelic and roughly translates to "ancient". The Dark Wheel's muck-making is getting a bit old.

The nebula is probably some 300 LY across by 250-275 LY tall. The name Arsaidh appears to be a player given name. We'll need to be on the lookout for stars that are actually in the astronomical catalogues to see if this can be determined to be a real nebula. The area should likely be assumed to be poorly mapped.

[A.O.E.] Dharmachakra is presently stationed Thailio UZ-T b22-4 doing biological research. We will be moving tomorrow to Thailio PQ-X c17-10 where we will be stationed for nearly a week. The increase in jump frequency is to get us out there sooner. Time, however, is not wasted on research along the route. Carrier refueling operations will commence upon our arrival as we transfer some of the fuel we have aboard into carrier's fuel processor.

Carrier has arrived at Thailio PQ-X c17-10. Refueling operations completed. Carrier will be investigating the region through Saturday evening. At that point, we anticipate making two more carrier jumps to Gru Drye TM-Z c2-0.

/BASE\ is now at Flyua Hypa KG-T b34-0, will be moving deeper into the Temple region tthough the week - will hopefully rendezvous / arrive close by over the weekend.

Update: You can see the nebulas from where we are currently. They're still far off but it is stunning. There's actually several in the region beyond where just where we are headed. Oh, and I did see "burning" during the final stage of bio-sampling. So we're taking a few tiny pieces and analyzing genetics and chemical markers so the flame test was accurate in terms of the color designations. I probably need to go through what has been turned into Vista Genomics because I believe there were some notable ones that haven't really been seen that often.

Update: Jump progression was less than hoped for because sigh the need to scan biologicals. I think we got maybe two carrier jumps in today. Current position is Gru Drye KZ-N b52-0 and our destination is Prai Hypoo WD-A d1-6. This means we are still 2,290.42 LY away. Every effort will be made to arrive at the nebula this week with jumps happening as often as the science permits for any system we pass through.

The A.O.E. Dharmachakra does restock for SRV and SLF. We have a few vessels aboard should you need them. Lasers are strongly recommended for the Guardian sites if you opt to take an SLF down to the surface. Commanders are strongly encouraged to disembark the ship with an SRV and then promptly dismiss your ship until any Guardian Sentinels have been handled, Whilst we do have full repair capabilities, I cannot promise the wherabouts you will be sent if your Galactic Insurance Policy is triggered.

Announcement: ** Operation: Danger Noodles **

[A.O.E.] Dharmachakra has arrived at Nyeajeou AU-J b54-0. This puts us <250 LY distance from the nebula. The Lakon Spaceways Keelback "Danger Noodle" has been dispatched to scout the nebula and assure optimal parking location for [A.O.E.] Dharmachakra along with an SLF Taipan and Scorpion SRV. Long-range scanners show the Guardian site is on the opposite side of nebula that we are approaching from at present. Route has been plotted and if we find a Guardian site(s) before reaching the confirmed system, the carrier will be deployed there. The system with confirmed ruins is on the very periphery of the nebula. It is suspected that very little exploration has been done (much less science) in the region. The aim here is give us a good start system with which the nebula can be more deeply explored.

Project Stage Designation: Danger Noodles
Goals: Establish staging zone for [A.O.E.] Dharmachakra and science research during final approach to the Àrsaidh Nebula.

Current location: Nyeajeou JH-E b57-2

Notable findings:

Electricae species found in this system and one prior. The specific species is Electricae Radialem. These have been noted in California Nebula region and are suspected artificial life forms that were bio-engineered specifically to be massive superconductors capable of generating electrical and magnetic fields covering a huge region. These were previously assumed to be explicitly linked to the lifeform known by humans as "Thargoids". This conclusion is now in doubt as is the species inhabiting the nebulas near the human bubble.

Mission to proceed. Threat level raised from 🟩 to 🟧.

Data must be sent back to humans at high priority once [A.O.E.] Dharmachakra arrives at the staging system. Defensive posturing is priority so that data transfer is assured.

NOTES: We are still outside of Àrsaidh Nebula. Electricae Radialem typically form in a sphere surrounding H II regions (ionized Hydrogen nebula).

Scientific notes regarding current knowledge on this species which occur only on nobel gas atmospheres:

I got to the nebula and [A.O.E.] Dharmachakra is parked above the moon with Guardian sites (Prai Hypoo WD-A d1-6 10 a). The confirmed Guardian sites that I know of out there are Ancient Sites. This is orbiting a Y3V dwarf that orbits more like it is a planet. About to go scouting and will report back. I don't believe 10 a has brain trees. Brain Trees were also observed in systems where there is no Guardians whatsoever. Variants observed in terms of brain trees are Roseum and Ostrinium (that appears dark purple or nearly black). There are bio signals thoughout the system so will need to establish what is present. The main star of this system is a class A5VI that is 1.63 solar masses and 1318 millions of years old (1.318 billion years). We need to check Methusaleh's Star (HD 140284 but in-game as Lalande 28607 and is also a class A star. The plan after this is to scout deeper into the nebula looking for further Guardian sites. I was not anticipating this to be Ancient Sites. So, we'll see what this system teaches us.

Confirmed: No brain trees on body 10 a. It may take a few days before I have a full system report on biologicals. This moon also has no active geological feautures. We're definitely looking at the very real possibility of a major rewrite on what we know. Initial flyover in Taipain SLF seems to indicate minimal erosion. Body is tidally locked,

We have succeeded in getting scans and layout maps of all types of Guardian sites in Temple. Curiously, this little trip has upended the idea Inner Orion Spur was the original home of the Guardian. The opposite appears to be true, Inner Orion Spur was the last settled before Construct uprising. The newest sites are in Inner Orion Spur. The sites found in Temple were ancient sites in the following layouts: Alpha, Beta, and Gamma. No newer sites have been located. Analysis will continue back at Darwin Research Facility and data will be shared with all interested parties (provided the research is ethical). Given that we have gotten what we need, [A.O.E.] Dharmachakra will begin its trip back to civilization. The trip back is expected to be rather more quick than the trip out to Temple region. We are shooting for arriving back in Anlave on October 22nd, 3310.

My carrier /BASE\ will be remaining in the nebula for another couple of weeks, whilst I continue to search the area for new data.
Any explorers in the area can access for repair / refuel / handing in cartographic and bio data.

When all data is collected, I'll be heading toward HEN 2-333, IC 4673 nebula, for more studies :)

If I am remembering correctly there is a region lock in the vicinity of HEN 2-333. If that is indeed the case, if you can get a radius for the lock that would be much appreciated.
