IO to BP and back again - eventually
I left Alioth on the 22nd December and went to Lembeva as I'd been told this would be a good Well as mentioned else where I was a bit annoyed when RL interfered with game playing and I'd be unable to join the Distant Worlds expedition when they leave. So I decided to leave earlier and get ahead and either the rest of the expedition will either catch me up on the way or at BP.
place to equip my Asp with a 6A fuel scoop. (with a discount).
The Asp was almost equipped as I wanted but I couldn't swap the A4 thrusters for D4 thrusters and I couldn't be bothered to go searching - (it's not work -it's a game.)
So I left for waypoint 1 at Shapley 1 on 23rd Dec without any materials for FSD injections or other repairs. I did have some basic refuels for the SRV though.
I stopped off at Praea Euq UD-R B18-4 A2 to search for materials found some ( I also learnt a lesson of not driving to fast as ended up jumping several hundred of metres into a canyon! Luckily the damage was repairable with synthesis) and carried on to HIP 77701 A1 where on 24th Dec I had a bit of an incident and found some technetium.
The incident in question was - In my haste to land before FD's servers were updated I forgot to check how many g's this world was. I've been landing on low g worlds and this one was 2g. You can imagine what happened - fortunately I got away with only 39% hull damage. I didn't feel it was a good idea to carry on with only 61% hull with hardly any ly on the clock so quickly whisked back to the closest repair dock which was Tabwa. While there I switched my A5 thrusters to D4 to give a bit of extra range and set off again for Shapley 1. This time I didn't stop until Fine Ring Sector IR-w d1-141 where I did a bit of prospecting on B3 A and picked up a few materials.
Then it was off towards the Lagoon nebula. I stopped at PRAEA EUQ XP-G d10-75 AB- where I found Germanium (4 lots) in metallic meteorites, Tellurium, tungsten and zirconium. I now had enough jumponium for a couple of basic Jumps.
Next stop was AUCOKS YC-V C5-17 A1 where I found some tea.
This morning I landed on NGC 6416 sector UE-Qb5-1 2 and it was it a winter wonderland - just right for Christmas.
Pictures to follow.
