I find myself reading less and less threads on this forum because so many replies steer away from constructive comments in favour of short aminated clips or meaningless pictures of unrelated content. By all means upload an animated sequence if it’s something new, but not if it’s already been posted a thousand times before.

And yes, I know this post will most likely prompt more of the posts which I’m disliking, but that just goes to prove my point.

It is a mess but sometimes it is funny (as you suggest, once or twice) and usually easy to ignore.

It's the summer holidays, traffic usually picks up in the autumn.

Let me offer you some comfort OP.

The number of posts on the forum has vastly decreased over the last month.

Visit the Forum steadily for a week, selecting the "new posts" tab. You will find that those specific to ED (Horizons or Odyssey) are minimal, and are either Bottom Hat claiming stuffz, white knights talking about how awesome Odyssey is, haters talking about how Odyssey is garbage (ignored that this was a game about flying spaceships, is broken and a ripoff), the occasional can't we all be PVP Open please?, or something about how the BGS is broken.

Where new posts specific to ED on a daily basis would easily span 7 - 10 pages over the last several years, we are down to about 3. The remaining posts are specific to other FDEV products.

It could be seen as a humorous reaction to the endless sky is falling, games dead, steam stats whine-a-thon that the forum has been since forever. The last few months of the forum since Odyssey released has probably been at peak doom since the heady days of steam keys and no offline mode.

Still if people are unhappy they can liberally apply the block/report functions to their sore areas.
