"Is the game dead?" returning players keep posting here and on reddit, due to blank Galnet

Yeah, given that fleet carriers are definitely a substantial update, I can't understand all the pessimism, distrust and negativity. GalNet and community goals are probably seen as redundant within the scope of the coming updates and therefore don't have any priority for fdev.

Because FD and past 4-5 years. Fleet carriers will be useless beside maybe miners.
The real usage of it has been stripped and stopped by FD due to crying babies....

I didn't know that. What previously announced features do you think FD have chosen to remove because of crying babies?

Delays maybe? FCs were originally advertised for December 2018. Also could be some expectation management considering how lackluster some people consider squadrons and multicrew.

I wouldn't call it a feature, but I know crying babies kept the shield booster nerf from coming through.
Well, crumbs. You wanted a booster nerf, other people didn't. So you choose to characterise everyone who disagreed with you as "crying baby"? Don't you realise that you were disagreeing with them at the same time? Why shouldn't they imitate you and describe you as "crying" over the nerf you couldn't have?
