And now they will be on outdated hardware holding back the games potential. Thus they can either "upgrade" to the new consoles ( consoles are never an upgrade but whatever ) or live with the fact newer features and even content will eventually have to pass them by. Same as Xbox 360/PS3 players had to deal with not getting the newer content and features added into the Xbone/PS4 versions of their games.Were they ever a significant customer group? Because XBox/PS4 crowd sure are.
It's a bit different than simply dropping support in a single update.
