Personally, I am waiting for something new that isn't Thargoid related. It doesn't matter too much exactly what it is. A full year of Thargoids is getting a bit monotonous for those of us that are not combat motivated.
Seeing how FDev reskinned skimmers to make them into Tharg drones, I am hoping the abduction of escape pods means we might see FDev reskin NPCs to look like Tharg zombie footsoldiers. That could be an interesting development and might succeed in getting me interested in the current narrative.
Without expecting a major update due to resources not being limitless (ie; gas giants, earth-like landing etc.), and within the scope of what's happening but not combat related, what would you like to see?Personally, I am waiting for something new that isn't Thargoid related. That seems to be a trick question that translates as 'Given there is no money to develop what you would like*, what would you like developed?'Without expecting a major update due to resources not being limitless (ie; gas giants, earth-like landing etc.), and within the scope of what's happening but not combat related, what would you like to see?
Oh the rage if Tharg on foot troops are just reskinned NPCs. But there may not be any one left that really cares so eh.Seeing how FDev reskinned skimmers to make them into Tharg drones, I am hoping the abduction of escape pods means we might see FDev reskin NPCs to look like Tharg zombie footsoldiers. Which by itself can be viewed as completely fair.Personally, I am waiting for something new that isn't Thargoid related. It doesn't matter too much exactly what it is. A full year of Thargoids is getting a bit monotonous for those of us that are not combat motivated.
dead game. rip :cabsolutely no reason to keep playing this game, no substantial content is ever added, constant carrots dropped in front of players saying "amazing stuff yet to come" and when it does come, it's got zero substance or longevity or substantial fun / new gameplay loops.
The reason frontier won't say what's coming is because nothing is actually coming. The game is on maintenance mode with a skeleton development team and no major future content plans.
I assume you've seen all major wonders of the galaxy, did the Canonn Tour, found Voyager 1, travelled to Beagle Point, are a master of AX combat, helped new players get into the game, catalogued all types of salad in every sector of the milky way, and painted the toe nails of Aisling Duval then. Cool cool.absolutely no reason to keep playing this game, no substantial content is ever added, constant carrots dropped in front of players saying "amazing stuff yet to come" and when it does come, it's got zero substance or longevity or substantial fun / new gameplay loops.
And also own every single ship in every configuration of modules, with every possible modification and ship kit and paint job, for every possible role they can do. That must be what all the people moaning about "no new ships" have (I guess they mean human ships).I assume you've seen all major wonders of the galaxy, did the Canonn Tour, found Voyager 1, travelled to Beagle Point, are a master of AX combat, helped new players get into the game, catalogued all types of salad in every sector of the milky way, and painted the toe nails of Aisling Duval then. ...at least none that we know of. ;-)There are no roads in space.
The only thing I'd add is that you have seriously underestimated the number of halves ;-)So yet again we have the old "Why isn't there a roadmap?" question. The first most obvious point is that only Frontier themselves can answer this. My opinion is that Frontier are not good at public relations, and don't know how to handle a community wanting to know more, being told something and half going "THIS SUCKS!!!!!!" half going "Uh, ok, whatever" and half going "I like it" (yes, I know three halves). So Frontier believe that it's better to stay quiet and be criticised for that than say something (some) people won't like.
