[everything I'm about to describe genuinely happened]
P.S. if you're new to this thread I urge you to read from the beginning
After the kick in the balls that was Plan A, the complete waste of time that was Plan B and the futile hilarity of Plan Z it's time to get serious about this endeavour!
The W@r B@st@rd has arrived at Sisters Refuge complete with one SRV and one SLF and Plan C is in effect. I ditch all the missile racks and point defence units and swap my shields for an AFMU (this is fine!). I chug my morning coffee, eat some left over popadoms and chutney (this is true), read the news, post a request for information about Comm's Hub Zeta in the Electra system for my CQC assets thread and then head off once more to the alien crash site in HIP 17403 to collect yet another UA.
Nothing can distract me now, I'm a man with a purpose! The systems fly past en route - Pleiades Sector YP-O b6-0, Merope, Electra, HIP 17862 ... woh! back up a minute! I slam on the brakes, cancel the jump and double check my nav panel. Well I'll be damned!
15 minutes later and nothing can distract me now, I'm a man with a purpose!
I collect a UA from the crash site ..
.. and then burn for HIP 14909 planet 2a, repairing as I go. I land, drive out in the SRV and place the UA, very carefully, next to the now open door.
So far so good. Back to the B@st@rd ..
.. fly up to a safe distance and jump into the SLF. Back down to the still open door and gently, gently, in we go!

[SUB][yeah yeah - the door is closed in this video (which I took later) - artistic licence!][/SUB]
After 5 minutes of utterly futile control waggling I switch control back to the B@sta@rd, swing her around and ... succeed in hammering the SLF even more solidly into the door frame. The UA moves slightly and the doors slam right in my face. Brilliant. Thanks for that!Stuck. I mean wedged TIGHT, absolutely, immovably stuck!

I call the Fuel Rats (yes, seriously). The nearest rat theoretically willing to lend a hand is also apparently stuck (at another base if I understand correctly - sheesh, these Fuel Rats are madder than a bag of hammers). Well this is just g ridiculous. I munch another popadom in quiet contemplation.
"Hi there!, Anyone here got a UA?"
What the hell? Another commander has turned up. I explain my predicament.
He takes the news remarkably calmly, drives over in his SRV and somehow, with very little drama or effort, the SLF is free, the door is open and Jesus-good-god-christ-almighty-and-all-the-saints-be-praised ... I AM IN!!!
I weep for 5 minutes and munch the last of the popadoms.
Behold, the unparalleled*1 majesty of my endeavour!
[B]*1[/B] apart from everyone else that's already managed to do this
Well, it's been an absolute blast but it's time for me to go to work so all good things must come to an end. I head to the exit.http://i.imgur.com/ZjnLCCN.png
