Jurassic World: Chaos Theory News!

KATS, a Korean governmental organization website, has pictures pf several upcoming Jurassic world toys by Mattel. Among them is the "Ben Story Pack" that I brought up earlier on this thread. Now, it's officially called the "Ben Escape Pack".

Actual photo from the website:

This is definitive confirmation of several things:
1. Ben will be returning for Chaos Theory, with a brand new look of course.
2. The box art for Chaos Theory is now revealed as to what it looks like.
3. On the box art is the definitive confirmation of Allosaurus being in the series as it is right behind Darius (which I wasn't expecting at all) who, just as Jurassic Outpost claimed, is older looking on the art itself, which I guess shouldn't be surprising at this point. But the current Allosaurus toy from the Epic Evolution toyline, despite its differences, doesn't have the Chaos Theory packaging, and Collect Jurassic on YouTube said its official description is that of Battle at Big Rock. So, I wonder if there are more Allo figures with the same design coming for the Chaos Theory sub-toyline?
4. The package pretty much confirms the return of Dilophosaurus, and Atrociraptor (though I can't tell if the individual in the package is supposed to be either Tiger or Panthera, because it's definitely not Red or Ghost).
It's probably Tiger.

Also, hooray for the conformation of Ben's return in Chaos Theory.

Apparently, yesterday, a new Pachyrhinosaurus toy by Mattel has been revealed by Collect Jurassic, a fan collection party who have a connection with Mattel themselves.

Long elaboration below:

On the day Jurassic Outpost announced the existence of Jurassic World Chaos Theory after going to the 2023 New York Toy Fair on early September, Swrve came out and said there were toys for certain species likely for the show: Pachyrhinosaurus, Becklespinax, Suchomimus, and Atrociraptor.

All that from Swrve he said was from someone, who was at the toy fair in general, who reached out to him, saying this, as well as things like “with the TV show packaging and said to be from the show”. But what should be taken to consideration is the accuracy of this other person’s statements and assumed context.

Not all toys marketing a certain piece of media, like a blockbuster movie or a TV series, have dinosaurs that actually appear in said media. It’s something that’s been going since Jurassic Park itself in 1994, the year when first Jurassic toyline was released, and it has not changed since for every single film and series onward to this very day.

I have observed how modern Jurassic toylines by Mattel work for several long years, and this is what I’ve got from all of it:
  1. When a species of a particular piece of new media it’s coinciding with is made, and it has a preexisting mesh design from previous releases, it will be re-meshed to better resemble the dinosaur’s screen appearance, fixed poses and toy features not included. This has been done with Allosaurus, Quetzalcoatlus, Dimetrodon, and Monolophosaurus. But there are always exceptions. In this case, the Dominion Coelurus, the Dino Tracker Atrociraptor and Irritator, and the Epic Evolution Triceratops.
  2. Kentrosaurus and Ouranosaurus toys have been made as part of the last Camp Cretaceous sub-toyline for the Dino Escape toyline, and no more were made afterwards. Since these species, as well as other Camp Cretaceous elements, were exclusive for both CC sub-toylines, as well as stuff that appeared in the show itself, it can be safely assumed the CT sub-line will do the same as well. Any human character figures accompanying certain dinosaur species for a specific Jurassic media toyline by Mattel are also an indicator the species will appear in them, because that’s the track record of Mattel’s style for releasing human figures, hence is why I truly believe Atrociraptor and Dilophosaurus will appear as their figures accompany a new Ben toy.
In the case of the newly revealed Pachyrhinosaurus and announced Becklespinax, it’s hard to tell at this point because there is no box art for either, as well as being uncertain whether or not they will be like any of the release styles stated above.

But, I can safely say that the person who reached out to Swrve is right about new toys of said species are coming. But whether or not they are truly for the show is unknown, because maybe they misinterpreted what they heard/saw, there could be some errors on the terminal’s part, or it could’ve been just a generalization also on Mattel’s part, maybe to avoid spoilers or just to keep or short if you know what I mean by the latter.

Like, if there is a Suchomimus toy with the CT packaging, and it has the same mesh design as earlier releases, then it’s a good indicator it won’t appear in it.

So, until CT footage shows any of them or if the toy releases are in style of what I said down the line, I won’t say anything else about them so that this thread of mine can be filled with more worthy surprises.

Hey, wait a minute. That's Pachyrhinosaurus Canadensis. I was expecting Pachyrhinosaurus Lakustai.

for those who don't know what I mean, here are the 3 Pachyrhinosaurus subspecies.

Unofficially revealed and not yet for sale, a Majungasaurus by Mattel is known online now. Not only does it have the CT packaging, as well as a different model mesh, but it also has a name: "Major"

With Mattel's toys, any dinosaur that's based on a named character will always have the respective name labeled next to its package label and often, but not every single time, will be placed within punctuation marks as here. The only (probable) exceptions, from what I can tell, were the Eatie(s) from Dino Escape.

This is pretty much irrefutable evidence of Majungasaurus, and a character dino of it called "Major", featuring in Chaos Theory, and is the first confirmation of a new canon species in-the-flesh debuting within the TV series.
(Trivia: Did you also know that Majungasaurus DNA, along with Carnotaurus and Rugops, was used for the Indominus rex's body armor, as confirmed via the OG JW viral website?)

Additional dinos with revealed packaging around the same time are: Pachyrhinosaurus, Ceratosaurus (with a new model mesh), and Parasaurolophus Lux. Even so, despite the new model for the Cerato, a returning CC toy species that is the Lux Para, and the only definitively known true Pachyrhinosaurus toy debuting with the CT packaging like with DE's CC Ourano and Kentro, we all still have to wait for actual TV footage to prove or disprove these animals will appear in it, and with such designs.

Jurassic World Chaos Theory has just released a new teaser trailer today.

The series takes place six years after the events of Camp Cretaceous, which I assume is 2022, the year when Dominion takes place chronologically.

Darius and Ben reunite and work together to warn the others of a dark conspiracy out to get them for reasons unknown. This show’s synopsis will bring the Nublar Six, now grown up, on a brand new adventure around the world to stop whomever is after them from destroying both humanity and dinosaurs alike. A much darker approach than I previously thought. They are hunted down by Atrociraptors, the same raptors from Dominion’s Malta sequence, and encounter other species such as Allosaurus. Plus, what appears to be the supposed Becklespinax. If true, then this is confirmation that Becklespinax is indeed a dinosaur that will appear in it, as well as the Mattel toy likely being CT packaged.

Jurassic World: Chaos Theory is set to release on May 24 on Netflix, much sooner than I thought!

Looks like Panthera, Tiger & Ghost are there. Also, why does the Becklespinax look like a Concavenator?

Also, why does the Becklespinax look like a Concavenator?
It’s controversial as to whether Becklespinax, believed to be a synonymous name to the valid Altispinax genus, is similarly designed like Concavenator or something else suggested for it, regarding partly on the overall body and much more specifically to its neural spines, due to its fossil fragmentation. I think that’s the idea on what they based their Becklespinax on, but how much of it resembles Concavenator and/or something else I can’t tell.

Well for starters, there's only three bones attributed to the genus... or there was, until the name was deemed synonymous with Altispinax... making Becklespinax's inclusion nonsensical and a waste in every way, even if we didn't already have Metriacanthosaurus...

While the wait continues until towards the end of May, showrunner Scott Kreamer, who also worked on Camp Cretaceous prior, was interviewed by Entertainment Weekly, published at the same day the latest teaser trailer came out.

There, he explains that the idea for Chaos Theory came about during CC’s fifth season’s postproduction. He also explains he wanted the show’s tone to be darker than before (especially for older kids) and that he sees it as more akin to the Harry Potter films, where the newer installments got darker over time than the beginning movie. He talks briefly about the Dark Jurassic webpage seen in the trailer, he describes the show as a “conspiracy thriller”, describes Darius’ motivations without giving away too much, and vocally neither confirms or denies the other four guys (Brooklyn, Kenji, Sammy, and Yaz) will be returning. You can learn more of these details in the article linked below.

Darn it, the video's private.
& for good reason too.

It turns out that it was official artwork! It got removed by the artist with the requests of Dreamworks & Universal.
Swrve was targeted by Universal and possibly Mattel a few times in the past for showing something that he shouldn't or shouldn't yet. Everything upcoming a company has preparing has a certain schedule to start revealing things, otherwise they're leaks. Companies have the right to target certain leak practices, intentional or unintentional, to prevent compromise.

By the way, remember how I said Darius wouldn't be packaged with Ghost because it was changed to be him with a "Large Dinosaur"? Well, it turns out the former was still a thing first confirmed by Collider several days ago, who was able to share exclusive information about it, and the latter where it was said he would be packaged with a larger dino I'm not sure of. Just wanted to bring that up just so everyone is up to date from what I said before here.
It does also include the new Ceratosaurus toy, which I also brought up here earlier. But the article neither states nor confirms it will appear in Chaos Theory, because it merely talks about the toy in general.

What large Dinosaur do you think it would be? The Becklespinax?

Also, @gabeluna27, I'm sorry if I spoiled Chaos Theory for you by mentioning the artwork.

I think it's time we discuss our theories of what will happen in the show based on the scenes in the trailer.

My theories (so far)

The Dark Jurassic thing that's on there, could the red dots mean where the campers are?
On the map, it shows a creature in the Gulf of Mexico. The possibility of a new marine creature?

I don't know. If there is a bigger story pack, it could be anything like an Allosaurus.

Also, I actually briefly saw that video before you posted it here, so you've got nothing to apologize for.

The dots I don't know. They and all the others dot colors could be anything or mean absolutely nothing. On the other hand, I have occasionally entertained on the possibility of Chaos Theory having another aquatic animal that is both not in JWE2 and is in a list I have for something else I'm working on which I mentioned in this thread months ago, like a mid-sized plesiosaur or a large aggressive ichthyosaur.

2 things:

The Allosaurus from Battle at Big Rock might be the same one in Chaos Theory. On the image below, it shows Darius & an Allosaurus. Focus on the eye; it looks like if it's half-blind; just like the one at Battle at Big Rock.

& second, @gabeluna27, after Chaos Theory is released, do you think Swrve's video will be made public again?

I don’t think so, because his taken down videos by Universal and Mattel were never re-uploaded, save for certain trailers I think. He does, though, remake the video from the start if he knows he legally can, like his initial trailer analysis last year.
