Jurassic World: Chaos Theory News!

Last night, I wanted to watch the last half of Season Two with my mom, but we delayed it due to life reasons. So, we decided to it tonight, and we did!

After some mishaps in the wild, including Major the Majungasaurus who had escaped while being transported through the river, and a Hippopotamus, the guys eventually track where the dinosaurs were coming from and where they were being sent: A top-secret laboratory lead by the Broker, and guarded by two Monolophosaurs.

Brook's suspicion was right. Soyona Santos is the Broker after all. She was the one who put a hit on Brooklyn and the guys, just to silence them from exposing her smuggling rig. Meaning, all the men who worked with her, including that creepy raptor woman, were all her pawns and employers.

But Brooklyn, she's decided to do something much more dangerous in terms of risks. She takes desperate measures to expose Soyona and her operations by going undercover as a "voluntary partner" to her, which includes pretending to not care for her friends anymore. That's what the footage of Brooklyn burning her Nublar Six picture in the trailer was about: She wasn't turning into some kind of willful traitor who hated them at all, like what both my mom and I thought at first when we saw the trailer, but covering up her caring feelings for them to protect both herself and their lives in order to continue her investigation to take her out for good. But Soyona is very smart, so I don't know how long Brooks will keep it up before any potential betrayal happens, if any.

At the lab, the guys and Brooklyn discover Soyona is not only interested in capturing dinosaurs but cloning them was well to continue her shady rig, knowing that the DPW of capturing wild dinos for the ever-increasing demand for dinosaurs is inevitably limited, and she wants to keep up with said demand. And in addition to regular dinosaurs, she is also cloning GMO dinos for potential military purposes for her business. One such genetic experiment that was kept in the lab, which did attack the guys in a pit, is a Leucistic Baryonyx. A genetically engineered Baryonyx with the removal of its eyeballs at the embryo stage but with enhanced senses of smell and hearing, locating its prey and navigating through its environment using echolocation.

The blind Bary and the other local dinos were bred by Dr. Sarr, a local scientist and one of Soyona's men. He was also the one who, in addition to Lang's carelessness (the captain of Soyona's smuggling ship the guys stowed away on) that freed Major in the wild, inadvertently allowed the other bred dinosaurs to roam free on the surface. Soyona is then shown to be ruthless, in that she does not hesitate to kill any who disappoint or fail her, especially when it comes to keeping her smuggling plans under covered. She kills Lang by using Red, whom she and Brooks brought to Senegal, and tries to kill Sarr as well, but not without a fight which forces him down into the blind Bary's pit.

But in an unexpected twist, Sarr has actually gained the Leucistic Baryonyx's loyalty and tries to kill the ladies in turn. However, when Soyona lets Red deal with the blind dino, it reveals what Red is capable of: intelligence and mimicry. The Leucistic Baryonyx is commanded by finger clicks by Sarr. Red was able to vocally mimic the clicks to communicate with the Baryonyx, gain its trust, and have it turn on its owner to kill. Red can even do what Velociraptors can do: open doors! Even recreating the scene of the raptor opening the kitchen door from Jurassic Park as a reference!

Being at the same place at the same time, the guys and Brooklyn soon find out about each other. They learn that Brooklyn is alive, and she finds out they are inside the facility and tries to free them as best as she could without breaking her cover to the Broker.

The guys manage to find Geba and locate the eggs. While they get out with Gebu, the eggs are taken by Brooklyn and Soyona to do the same thing while the Leucistic Baryonyx is left behind to slow the guys down. When Brooklyn was getting the eggs, she accidently runs into Ben who was in the same room. Kenji, who was in a separate room but had a connecting window, sees this and becomes enraged believing he knew the whole time, while Ben has difficulty trying to explain he only found out as soon as they got to Senegal, and wanted to make sure it was true to protect the others.

Soyona, as ruthless as she is in protecting her smuggling business, and disappointed that her dinosaurs have been let loose on the surface for everybody to see, destroys the entire facility to leave no evidence that she and her smuggling rig were there. She has other plans to do with Lewis Dodgson and Biosyn - a connection that was shown in Jurassic World: Dominion. The guys pursue the ladies with the help of Zayna's dad, Ousmane, who is revealed to be a just as much of a dino nerd as Darius, and how Zayna herself expressed some dino nerdiness herself with Darius too in previous episodes before.

Right before Brooklyn enters the plane where she and Soyona will leave, the guys catch up to her, all of them surprised to know it's really her. But Brooks, desperate to expose Soyona and her rig, and to protect their lives, continues her "partnership" cover by saying she's "Not the same Brooklyn they knew" and leaves without them, but not before giving them Bumpy's egg back.

It's obviously not over yet. I know already they will see each other again and learn more about the truth. As well as helping each other at some point to stop Soyona. The questions are "How?" and "When?" Whenever that continues, my mom and I are looking forward to it.

Now, about the toys...

For those who have seen my earlier posts may remember this reveal through leaks. Back then, Camp Cretaceous sub-toyline packs with human characters are always packed with dinosaurs that appear in the show itself, unlike other and main toylines. As a result, it became confirmation that Dilophosaurus would appear here in Chaos Theory because of this.

Said dinosaur never has, at least not yet. But I'm not sure of this sub-toyline for Epic Evolution intends to market future seasons after Season Two. If it doesn't, then this is a first where such a package doesn't necessarily tell you what to expect to see in terms of species. Still, this doesn't necessarily mean that Dilophosaurus won't appear at all yet. But at this point, only time will tell what species will be featured when each new season airs, announces, or reveals in sneak peeks.

After all, previously, new species or returning species with new meshes debuting in the Camp Cretaceous sub-toylines always indicated a dinosaur species and basic designs that will first show up in that show. Now, with this one, after many toy reveals and watching through the two seasons of this year, it no longer seems so anymore.

I am not sure if anybody notice about Geba the Gallimimus in the final episode of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory's Season 2.

For some reason, Geba reminded me of Scary the Parasaurolophus in ARK: The Animated Series.

Where do you think the Broker & Brooklyn are going?

A third season for Jurassic World Chaos Theory is confirmed. What's on Netflix recently published an article where they've gotten confirmation on it coming next year, along with a little synopsis:

“The Nublar Five crash land into adventure as they encounter old (and new) friends, face off against even more lethal dinosaur threats, and deal with the fallout of Brooklynn’s stunning rejection of them. All the while Brooklynn’s inner turmoil continues to grow as she is drawn deeper into the Broker’s criminal web of dinosaur trafficking and espionage.”

What’s on Netflix just got a new article today. With not only three new photos of the upcoming season for Chaos Theiry, but a release month too!

It’s coming this April 3.rd, alongside a multitude of titles for that month.

The three new photos include one with the main guys in a snowy environment, Darius hiding from a Ceratosaurus (officially confirming the return of the beast, and not just hinted or implied by last year’s toy release), and Soyona and Brooklyn playing chess. Brooks also has a new prosthetic arm, just like her CT actress which I didn’t talk about when I first learned who was voicing her when S1 came out.

Hmm... am I going crazy, or do the brow horns on that Ceratosaurus look more... pronounced? And by pronounced I mean it actually has brow horns.

Good news, the Atrociraptor Handler is back!

Hopefully she turns good.
There is a lot about the new trailer that just came out minutes ago.

They end up riding on a dino cargo plane which, after a Kentrosaurus incident on it, crash lands near the Italian boarder, which was that snowy town picture from that past article from last week, where Ben's girlfriend is at. This marks her first ever appearance too after two seasons of being only a mentioned character. It's unknown what her name is, though. Her house is also where Bumpy's egg finally hatches too.

They have scenes in Malta's underground black market, and both Brooklyn and Soyona working with Biosyn and the company's CEO Dodgson. It seems the five guys are following Brooks, with more chaos happening in Italy and the boarder. Including the appearance of the Pyroraptor - the first official confirmation of it outside of card merchandise artwork collaborated with Chris of Jurassic Outpost, Biosyn's GMO Locusts, and (as you pictured) the raptor lady.

As said above in earlier posts, it comes out on April 3.rd. Unfortunately for me, it's a really bad time to watch it, so I won't be able to watch or summarize anything from it because of really important and busy things we're doing the day after. So, I probably won't see it with my mom until Saturday or Sunday that weekend.

Do you think she will have a redemption arc?
I don't think so. But I am almost sure more of her, like her name and maybe (at least) a bit of her background will be revealed in this season.
Also, I have just found out that the day of the trailer also had various articles talking about the cast, one of which includest wo new characters which JO in that video has mentioned.

One is named "Nonna" played by Isabella Rossellini, and "Gia" played by Beatrice Grannò. Gia, directly according to gizmodo.com, is the name of Ben's girlfriend, and the only article I could find that says that and with direct confirmation.

Dreamworks Brazil (dreamworks_br) has released a lot of new pictures from the upcoming season on their Instagram account, those five included. Days ago, they uploaded a new set of five images. Jurassic Outpost has included all five of them in one of their videos. One of which confirms the appearance of Lystrosaurus, which isn't too surprising at all but still something I was expecting.

Fun fact: Lystrosaurus embryos did appear in the previous season in that unground lab with several different designs. So, I always knew live ones were going to appear eventually. These are images of the actual models uploaded onto ArtStation by Chris Sears, who has worked on both Chaos Theory and Camp Cretaceous.

Unfortunately, we (me and my mom) won’t be able to watch it today or tomorrow. As I said before, we both have something more important going on at this time. So, we might not start seeing it until Sunday at best. When we eventually do, that’s when I’ll start making summaries I love doing here again, even if I’m already far behind.
