in the first game for Jurassic park era. But we were missing the variants from the Jurassic Park era for the dinosaurs in this game.Aren't the variants for Stegosaurus, Brachiosaurus, and Pteranodon already in the game?
We have two sets Patterns and skin colors for two different eras of the dinosaurs. Jurassic world and Jurassic Park. Besides I think the Jurassic Park era is the best era for players who love the original films and the designs of the dinosaurs in those films. I personally like the idea of have two different variants and two sets of variant skins for the dinosaurs so this way we can have more variety. So there's going to be skins that are identical to models now? That could be rather confusing for players
No. For example, the 2022 Allosaurus skin will be the new variant, with the ability to choose different colors. But if you use the Frontier version of the Allosaurus, you can't choose the 2022 skin.So there's going to be skins that are identical to models now? That could be rather confusing for players
Yes but those are the movie skinsAren't the variants for Stegosaurus, Brachiosaurus, and Pteranodon already in the game?
The JP trilogy designs are already in the game, they just weren't classified as "Variants" until now. In addition, they have been updated, like other variants before since Update 5, to have customizable skin colors and combos.Aren't the variants for Stegosaurus, Brachiosaurus, and Pteranodon already in the game?
No, the JW variant won't have the 1997 skin anymoreMy point is that there will be the existing 1997 skin for the "JW variant" and this new "1997 model". Both of them are visually identical but only one is customisable.
ok the point is both of them are going to be customizable the Jurassic Park versions and the Jurassic world versions. Except now they're adding the Jurassic Park version of these Dinosaurs as if its a new Dinosaur. ok both are going to be available in the game including customization for the Skins and patterns. Nothing is changing my friend. My point is that there will be the existing 1997 skin for the "JW variant" and this new "1997 model". Both of them are visually identical but only one is customisable.
I'm hoping for 1993 & 2001 Velociraptor variants. And 1993 TyrannosaurusI am amazed by this surprise! It's not an expansion pack like I initially thought, but what's coming sooner than I also thought is still amazing!
So that's what those legs belonged to. Tarbosaurus with a Frontier skin combination!
Concavenator is in, which reasonably isn't designed after the statue in the Lockwood Manor since it's just that, and not what that Entertainment Weekly magazine article thought that indirectly spread a false assumption across the vocal Jurassic fan community.
New decorations which were seen in that teaser video, and more variants with customizations! I knew the Allosaurus and Dimorphodon 2022 will eventually get Variant skin customizations because they were classified as "Variants" and not just skins. BUT, I didn't think the JP trilogy designs would as well! At least, some of them. I wonder if the JP legacy skins will also become "Variants" down the line? Like "Ankylosaurus 2002", "Brachiosaurus 1993", and "Triceratops 1993"?
To be honest I think frontier should focus on the 2001 version rather than the 1993 version of velociraptor because let's just be honest the 2001 is actually pretty. Also tyrannosaurus Rex I don't think needs it as much as all the other dinosaurs because we already are using the 1993 model for T-Rex for the base Jurassic World T-Rex.I'm hoping for 1993 & 2001 Velociraptor variants. And 1993 Tyrannosaurus
I don't know about the T-Rex, because the JP rex skins are the same exact model as everywhere else. Even JWE1 did that with its JP rex skins.I'm hoping for 1993 & 2001 Velociraptor variants. And 1993 Tyrannosaurus
But even that is classified as a "Skin" in the marketing posts and store page descriptions of it. So, I'm doubtful if they would go against it or change those store descriptions or what. Besides, it's just the same exact rex model with a feathered plumage over it.To be honest I think the only version of T-Rex that deserves to have its own variety of patterns and skins is the Feathered T-Rex 65 million years.

If I recall, didn't the 1993 Rex look chunkier and have a shorter snout than the Jurassic World version?I don't know about the T-Rex, because the JP rex skins are the same exact model as everywhere else. Even JWE1 did that with its JP rex skins.
But I also forgot to say, "Variants" were classified as not just having a new model mesh, but also with other technical reworks from a rig and (if applicable) sound design perspective to go with those meshes. The Dominion Parasaurolophus maybe with some exceptions to it. The JP designs didn't meet those criteria for the different looking model meshes no matter how different they looked, so that's why that surprised me, because I thought if they were going to give the JP designs some kind of customizations, it would maybe be the same as those "A, B, C, etc." color versions from JWE1.
No. BestInSlot did an old video of it when someone extracted and viewed the 3D models on a model viewer to see what changes there were.If I recall, didn't the 1993 Rex look chunkier and have a shorter snout than the Jurassic World version?
