Jurassic World Evolution 2: Cretaceous Predator Pack and Update 8 coming 30 November

Hey Frontier,

I've had some digging in understanding the difference between fiscal years and calendar years and hearing about the layoffs that is affecting everything, and it does explain a few things like the less DLC we've gotten instead of four, and I'm sorry to hear that and I hope everything works out. I misread thinking there was stuff planned for next year, but now I don't know and that worries me. It'd be nice to know if and when the final content for the game would come out. Yet, there's still many animals I'd like to see added. I was wondering about a flying species pack since it seemed natural after the fabulous Marine Species Pack, and the same goes for a Cretaceous herbivore pack like the upcoming DLC next week. I can imagine that the Microceratus has to be added plus some new cosmetics for the Dominion Parasaurolophus. I'd like to see some new colors other than the last three. I'd also like some continental packs since South America is sorely lacking a bit. I don't have exact specimens for these ideas, but I really hope 2023 isn't the game's last year. You guys are awesome.

2. Protoceratops

Due to Tarbosaurus debuted in Camp Cretaceous: Hidden Adventure, it will be great to include it in the classic Jurassic World in Isla Nublar 2015 regardless of gameplay mode.

However, Microceratus is still a missing ingredient for the Jurassic difficulty challenge mode based on the film Jurassic World.
I think it's likely that microceratus will come in some herbivore pack or some major expansion
I think it's cool that Frontier is adding the canon dinosaurs little by little because it makes us hopeful for more packs and expansions in the future

In my opinion, to complete the list of canonical dinosaurs, the following are missing:

Microceratus
Spinoceratops
stegoceratops

From Brazil

I apologize if I were to bring bad news; without Microceratus, I cannot celebrate the 30th anniversary of the film Jurassic Park.

If and when Microceratus will be added, the year 2023 will be over and the celebration will be delayed.

Hi Frontier,

Is there a typo to the Brachiosaurus variants because those look more like the 1993 variant than the 2001 variant. Either way, I can't wait to see them. Hope to see Parasaurolophus 2022 get more variants one day.
No, there isn't a typo. Those are the 2001 Brachiosaurus with different colors and patterns. The best way you can tell is the head crest shape, in that it's shorter and less "mohawk-like" than the Jurassic World or the 1993 Brachiosaurus.

I know what the 2001 variants look like, but I think I see it. The colors and the style of the wrinkles though threw me off and look like the 1993 variants from a good distance. I don't use that variant much, but I'm curious to check them out when the pack comes.

Hi Frontier,

Just out of curiosity, what made you put Tarbosaurus in this DLC?
Tarbo would have been better in a Mantah Corp Expansion. Also these guys are not very happy.

Sorry the packs mentioned in these are wrong.
At this point in time with the release of the Cretaceous Predator and Marine Species pack, I believe it all but officially confirms that the other animals featured in Camp Cretaceous are going to be drip-fed via other species packs; Smilodon via some sort of prehistoric Cenozoic species pack and Spinoceratops via either a hybrid pack or even an omnivore species pack.

let's hope it really will be in the game
It is, someone took a screenshot of another video Frontier released and it shows Gigantoraptor is omnivorous. The big question is, will it be a hunter?

Spinoceratops via either a hybrid pack or even an omnivore species pack.
Personally I'm hoping for a Hybrid Pack that brings back the Ankylodocus, Spinoraptor, and Stegoceratops, along with adding either A) the Amargazinosaurus and Pachyspinax from the computer screens in JW or B) some variation of the Ultimasaurus.

hi fronteir is'nt gigantoraptor a herbivore
Studies from the mid-2010s conclude Gigantoraptor is thought to be herbivorous based on the dinosaur's beak structure. Even so, they also conclude that carnivory can't be ruled out either. Maybe it hunted smaller animals like smaller dinosaurs. So, it's unclear if Gigantoraptor is a "true" herbivore, or an omnivore to some kind of respective degree. Predators aren't necessarily "true carnivores" in a restrictive sense, and there are even omnivores today that will actively hunt live prey for food.

Maybe its inclusion is why it isn't a "Carnivores Pack" by name. It also brings me the idea that if there will be another Cretaceous period pack that won't focus on predators, I won't be surprised if it will be titled something like "Cretaceous 'Prey' Pack", and not an "Herbivore Pack", with an omnivorous species that would've been a prey item like "Pelecanimimus" (paleobotany and fish feeder) for example. Only because I don't see Frontier being that kind who will do something that "incoherent", if that's how you can accurately describe it, in this context.

You know, I have been thinking for several long months of the idea that, if the three JWE1 Dr. Wu DLC hybrids will eventually come to the game in a 4+ dinosaur pack, and that Spinoceratops won't be included and be used for something Camp Cretaceous related instead, the best fourth hybrid I can think of them realistically going for is Carnoraptor. Only because has a larger presence in both franchise media and toyline merchandise by appearance count all together, just like the three JWE1 hybrids have (Ludia's JW:TG app game, action figures for Stegoceratops, and scannable battle figures of the other two hybrids). I highly doubt they will add those other hybrids you said, since the screen ones have no known official names and are pretty much obscure environment details, and they may not ever directly reference anything from the Chaos Effect stuff as virtually nowhere in Jurassic since the late 1990s, except the real-life history book of the JP trilogy, has ever done once.

Loving all this.

I don't get why people are so excited for bins though? GIVE US WATERFALLS!

For future DLC / Updates can we get:

A species viewer whilst in game so we can sample skins before creating in the lab?
Deeper water tool / natural lagoon tool.
Steeper landscape tool / cliff edge landscaping tool. I want to be able to sculpt a steep ravine.
Glass fencing.
Ability to colour fences. Concrete fencing in particular as I'd like to be able to camouflage them a bit better.
Ability to alter lights colour on all buildings - not just amenities.
A better dome viewing gallery (land and lagoon) without the bars - the bars ruin the illusion (same for the log tunnel). The regular viewing gallery doesn't have bars to obstruct the view.
Feeder incorporated into the Amphitheatre that can release a goat on a click.
Helicopter tour.
Dinosaur viewing status from paths - guests do have eyes!
Aviary domes of different heights that can "lock together". A new medium and large one. The current size is too small for the Quetza.
Better aviary decorations... tall, natural rock / cliff formations for perching.
Bring back paleo feeders.
Better herd migration.
Better flock migration when being hunted.
Better hunting animations in general - like stalking prey through tree lines or waiting in ambush behind rocks.
Intelligent hunting / positioning like driving a herd towards an ambush.
Fights / social scenes between different species of herbivore. Like if a Trike gets too close to an Anky... Trike gets a tail whip.
More skeleton displays. A Mosasaur skelly would be cool!
Guest bridges.
Vehicle bridges.
Size variation on individual species. 100% = full size / 80% = adolescent / 50% young animal.
Natural fish in rivers - again... deeper rivers. Obviously, coding would need to be done to prevent smaller dinos walking into too deep a water level. But come on?! We're in the height of next gen gaming.
The invisible fence should be invisible! Like an underground fence. The invisible barrier that prevents dinos from crossing it should also be vertical so as to stop flying dinos passing them - this would help with species territory control and so they don't attack guests.
Obviously, more and more dinosaurs!!! The more the merrier!!!

Maybe a lot of these things could be included in JWE 3 if there were ever such a sequel. As amazing as this game is, there is a lot that could be focused more into the dino behaviours because once I've built a park there really isn't much else to do with it. If the animals had a much greater plethora of social / behavioural / hunting / grazing animations it would make for a much better end product and I'd spend hours just in the park watching them "be".

There's so much goodness about this game but soooo much more Frontier could add still to keep the excitement going (way more than bins and benches imo). I literally spend hours on it.

The park management system still needs tweaking for guess distances on restrooms, shelters and transport too. Guests should really be able to walk further distances. If I'm going to see dinosaurs - I'm walking as long as it takes to get to see one.

I do love this game but I would also love for it to be elevated to even greater heights! There is still so much untapped potential here.

I don't post in forums much so before I get shot down (which tends to happen online a lot) just consider how cool all these additions would be.
