Jurassic World Evolution: Return to Jurassic Park and Update 1.12 - What we know so far

[
So I watched a couple videos a while ago and they all seem to point towards breeding possibly being a thing in the JP DLC. Of course this is all speculation and Frontier hasn't promised this in any way. So if you get your hopes up for baby dinosaurs in the DLC and end up disappointed it's pretty much your own fault.

So the speculation revolves around a few things. One has already been debunked. The post its on the side of the monitor are just a nod at what was seen on Nedry's work desk and computer.

But some other good points were made. The screenshot of the Stegosaurus is interesting. It looks like a smaller younger version of an adult Stegosaurus. It's not a hatchling or baby by any means but it looks like a juvenile or sub adult. The way planet zoon handles the idea of breeding and young animals in the game is that one day they just appear and eventually they just grow into adults. Maybe Frontier took some of what they learned in Planet Zoo and applied it to this game.

Another point is that having to create all those different models would be a lot of work, which it would be. But it would be less work if you only did it for the 16 dinosaurs we will obviously see in the DLC. I think there is something like 66 or 67 dinosaurs in the game now. You cut that down to 16 and it's much less work for new models. To make it even less work they don't hatchlings or the really young baby dinosaurs. As you can see with the Stegosaurus in the screenshot there is a huge difference between it and the others we see. It just looks a bit smaller, the plates on the back look smaller.

Frontier said the DLC would contain multiple gameplay features that we haven't seen before. It could be anything but one we haven't seen yet and that's been asked for a lot is baby dinosaurs. Frontier seems to be delivering on a lot of requested gameplay features that many though wouldn't happen and we would never see except in a sequel.

The final piece of evidence is BestinSlot said he has been to a JWE event. He said there will be a video on Tuesday, he can tell us more then so I imagine he is under some kind of NDA. But the main point is that he was really excited. He emphasized that we will want to see this video. That means there is going to be some big announcements revealed. We have already seen a few of the redesigned dinosaur models, the skins, the gate just about everything involved with JP. What else could there other than a breeding?

Of course limited breeding. Limited only to dinos from the first 3 movies. I am sure if this is true some people will complain. It is what it is.

I hope this is true cause I really want a Juvenile Rex and some raptors. Those juvenile Compy's will be nearly microscopic. lol

One of these three Parasaurolophus in first trailer of 1993 DLC is darker and the other two are light ... would that be a sexual dimorphism!?

I'm very sceptical on the claims that breeding is now in the game, unless it has been truly confirmed we should treat such claims with a massive pinch of salt.

If you click on the link, it will take you to the news section of this forum.

Jurassic World Evolution Raptor Squad.

Yeah, just saw it seconds after reading you. At first I thought was perhaps a joke, didn't they always stated that Blue was an 'stablished character' and thus out for eventually implement her skin? Trust Frontier to tell the truth about their plans... omg lol

Lol yeah, it was a genuine shock to hear it too! It was some of the most requested inclusion since launch, I guess they were saving it for later.

Now we have an aerial creature, compsognathus. the raptor squad, and the original Jurassic Park trilogy legacy skins and park assets. Anything is up in the air at this point.

Or dare I say.... underwater.... 😉

Heavens hear you...

Aerial and water creatures, plus actual islands to work with and this would be the most absolutely perfect JP game!

the best part about this game and its update is the Redwood's, I'm preparing all my parks for a redwoods Safari. and the species I do plan for this Safari well let's just say i will put a bit of a lost world species kind of touch to the Redwoods.

1. Mamenchisaurus
2. Stegosaurus
3. Triceratops
4. Parasaurolophus
5. Pachycephalosaurus
6. Gallimimus
7. Compsognathus
8. Nigersaurus
9. Kentrosaurus
10. Dryosaurus

skins to Use for Redwoods-Alpine or Woodland or any color that resembles the old cannon Jurassic Park dinosaurs.

this is just my list of species what I want to put in my Redwood Safari I would love to hear other people's opinions about the Redwoods cuz I'm excited for that.😃

Sexual dimorphism means a size difference. Some bird species the males are not as vibrant color wise and some times the females are the ones with vibrant colors. Also with modern day animals the female could be bigger than the male. That would be sexual dimorphism.

Is this legit or Swerve-made? I don't know why it doesn't look like Frontier's to me
It is, it's from their twitter. I'm starting to think that the characters might have just been wedged into the current dynamics, I hope that's not the case, but at least it's the original actors.

You know, there are multiple fan-sites that say the brown-red-orange paras are male and the green ones are female for over a decade or so. But, from what I can tell already, there was no actual intended sexual color dimorphism for the varying para colors in the film series as what I've seen the fan-sites claim and/or speculate. They're merely production design choices. Nothing else beyond that.

For the varying skin colors that match the ones in the films (the ones in the trailer and the photos from elsewhere), they are either separate "legacy skins", or its the same "legacy skin" that you can customize its colors via the existing cosmetic genes. After all, all paras in the films (maybe even the paras in the first film, but I don't really know because they were made too blurry to get a good enough view) have the same patterning, albeit with different color designs.

I mean that the characters seem like they might have been written as partial substitutes for existing characters, rather than their own thing.
It's probably an unwarranted/unfair concern I suppose.
I guess it makes sense then. With the last bathroom focused Feature focus, we have an idea that challenge mode and sandbox mode now have an era option. One for Jurassic Park and one for Jurassic World. What this means is we could possibly expect these legacy characters to fill in roles of Cabot Finch, George Lambert, Dr. Kajal Dua, and Isaac Clement, as they do not have a role/exist in the Jurassic Park Era. I do think they will have unique dialogue to seperate them from the current cast, and the campaign mode will flesh them out more.

I am mostly intrigued, that if this is the case, we may expect new dinosaur introductions for challenge mode that are different from the current quotes used.
