Jurassic World Evolution: Update 6 Highlight

I think this is one of the best updates we've had since like the September Lagoon decoration one maybe? Love that the new viewing dome and log will work like the Biosyn era specific attraction, and have entrances to be used in all eras. In particular I am in love with that JPOG styled dome. That was one of my favorite attractions from that classic game. Glad to have it back in a brand new way. The log is also great as it means a more accurate T. rex Kingdom styled paddock can be implemented in say, the Jurassic World Chaos Theory and Challenge, or Sandbox too. Can't wait to try out both in future exhibits.

Also very glad there will be square levels/maps for all of the biomes. That means Taiga, Temperate, Desert, Alpine, and Tropical. Is the 6th one the PA version of the Temperate then? I guess this leaves out the DLC ones for now? Hope those will be implemented in the future (and maybe challenge modes for them too?), since the Biosyn map biome is probably my favorite in the game (partly because of the exclusive trees and ferns), with PA's next.

Lots of stuff here for Sandbox that I've also wanted for a while, such as the infinite feeders, the mixed foliage (even if it is just the placable trees only, at least for now, I'm gladly gonna make use of those), and even the income tax for sandbox (which combined with expeditions and research turned on, gives us a way to have a classic JWE1 styled Challenge Mode). Very little left on my wishlist that I want to see in this game at this point now (that also goes for species too since you literally just made two of my favorite top requested ones in the DLC). Really can't wait for this new update, and to get my hands on that Feathered Pack dlc.

For anyone curious here's the remaining major items on my wishlist at this point:
-More decorations (trash cans, benches, maybe more placeable foliage, like the ferns in the Biosyn map, etc)
-Tall feeders counting for forest coverage. I want to use Brachiosaurus more often, but it needs an insane amount of space (which is problematic on the smaller maps such as Canada, like with the Challenge mode that starts you with one).
-Sauropods being able to fight back
-Pterosaurs being able to walk (or at the very least the big boi Quetzalcoatlus)
-Social animations for pterosaurs and marine reptiles (it is a bit odd they don't have these yet, when all the land animals do, but hopefully in time)
-Maybe textures (and brushes) from all biomes on any maps? In any case the placeable trees being available on all maps on PC (which I'm on) and next gen is a step in the right direction, especially with the previous rocks from each biome being a thing.
-Edit: Also a river cruise attraction even if it has the same functionality of the existing tours, but in water. Also would like to see the San Diego Amphiteather being able to be moved and used on all maps (in JP or Mixed Eras) in Sandbox.

Very sad, I will still have to limit my parks to 120 dinosaurs, or get used to the totally buggy social interaction, what always caught my attention in this game were these animations, it makes everything more alive, now with this problem it seems that they are nothing more than robots.

I'm also disappointed.
The bug appeared in June 2022. They had a lot of time imo, but as long as it's "under investigation" and the game itself gets such great updates, I will support the team by buying new DLCs.

The new changes reduce the waiting time until the animations will finally be fixed.
For instance, the new cinema mode is something that I will use a lot. Really... a lot.
😁
Yes, the bug is annoying but Jens confirmed that the devs are aware of the issue so I stay confident.

What does that bug do?

Still hoping we get a Map / Location unlock option for sandbox mode, me and others been waiting for that before buying it on console. On pc i just use mods to unlock all but on console we cant and i love to also play it on consolel

The sixth environment/biome type is Mediterranean. It’s only available through the Dominion Malta Expansion. All save game selections and both Challenge and Sandbox map selections tell you what a map’s biome is.

It sounds like the flat levels are going to have mountains and other scenery surrounding them. I hope they don't have any buildings or other signs of human activity in the surrounding landscape. I like to just plop dinosaurs down and watch them fight and interact with each other in a natural, Site-B sort of way. These flat levels sound perfect for that. That, plus the addition of all foliage scenery for all maps would allow the creation of some pretty paleo-accurate landscapes. Can't wait!

@gabeluna27 Thanks for the correction. I'm still behind on getting that one. Though I did watch videos of that dlc when it came out, but my memory is pretty fuzzy on it atm.

I am so excited for infinite feeders to come back and for all the brushes to be available everywhere!

But, can someone explain to me, what is meant by Sandbox Square levels? I have no idea, even with the explanation provided 😅
It’s basically new six square levels for each biomes and three are California, Southwest US amd San Diego make up three of the six at least that’s how I interpreted it

@Jens Erik a lot of us saw new trash bins in the hide and seek photo, will these be new decorations in these update? Or will there be any new deocrations not yet mentioned in update 6? Thanks

I believe it's six new square levels AND expanded square levels for California, SW USA, and San Diego. In other words, 9 total, 6 of which are new and 3 of which are square versions of already-existing maps. Which is 🤯🤯🤯

Starting to get this sinking feeling that "Wild Captures" are going to be used instead of a "randomized digsite" toggle. If this is the direction your leaning towards, please do note it is not a proper substitute. The Wild Captures don't offer the flexibility or variety for a fresh playthrough that could be achieved by randomly assigning the starting digsites, plus if they are anything like the Campaign, etc. then you are going to get a lot of duplicates captures with no control over how many animals you receive. Please forward this concern to the dev team, this is a very highly requested feature that adds a lot for us management players.
Thank you for the feedback. The development team is aware that this is a highly requested issue
Im a little confused about this phrase after reading it again:
"To further facilitate these changes, hunting behaviours of carnivores have also seen some changes. They will now attack less frequently and may even fail a hunt depending on their individual combat stats and the defense level of the Sauropod."

Carnivores will attack less frenquently and fail a hunt depending on their individual combat stats and the defense level only for sauropods or other creatures in general?
@Jens Erik
This is specifically for when carnivores hunt sauropods
question are you still investigating the turning the xbox one off bug crash is it safe to play it or no
Unfortunately we've been unable to replicate this issue, but any information people can share with us about when/how this seems to happen will be helpful.

It depends a little on which map you choose. They're based on the existing maps, just bigger. So the Desert map, which is based on the San Diego map, will have San Diego in the background, if that makes sense.
Do the new decorative foliage features apply to Planters as well?
Yes.

This is correct: there are 9 square levels :)

Thanks for the acknowledgement, Jens.

Appreciate it, really loving the update so and especially the species pack!
