I know that we're almost there, only a few more weeks and we will be able to take a first look by ourselves and I was sure surprised by some animal choices made by Frontier, but still, I really would like to see some of the following species for the base game.
Gorilla (preferably the Western lowland)-It's a unique species which is becoming more and more common in zoos.
Mongoose(Meerkat) - I must be honest, I'm not a big fan of Meerkats, but they are one of the most common species in zoos, so I wouldn't want to miss them in Planet Zoo neither or at least a Banded, Dwarf or Yellow.
African rhino species: I was quite surprised with the fact that we're getting one of the Asian rhino species, I think an African counterpart would be nice. As there're only two species of them I wouldn't have a real preference, although the White would be nice to mix in the Savannah exhibit.
Colobus/gelada baboon: Other species which are (becoming) popular in zoos.
African antelopes: We already have some quite nice ones, but there are so many more, Bongos, Kudus, Sable, Roan, Eland, Nyala, Sitatunga and so many more!
Second lemur species (Sifaka): The announcement of the Ring-tailed lemur was great, specially as it's looking so nice. We need at least one other species of prosimians and I would definitely go with the Coquerel’s sifaka, (till now) it isn't really common in zoos but could be greatly combined with the other lemurs.
Tropical bear: The biggest animal disappointment so far was definitely the Himalayan brown bear, the animal seems to be really well done but there were so many other species to choose from. As we have the Indian campaign I would definitely go with the Sloth bear, even being even happier if we'd have a Sun bear.
Gibbon: There are actually a lot of species and each which is breed in zoos atm would be very welcome.
Malayan tapir: I mean, if Frontier decided to release another Brown bear subspecies why not also an other tapir? They do look really diferent from each other and you know we love tapirs!
Indian antelopes: There aren't actually that many antelopes from India, but the best know are rhe Blackbuck and the Nilgai, both species which would be really nice to see too. Maybe even some Axis deer?
Asian monkeys (Lion tailed macaque/Javan lutung): The clibing frames really need some species which will use them.
Otters: That's an other one which is a must, my biggest wish would be a Giant otter but I prefer to wait till an South Ametica DLC comes out, so a Oriental small clawed otter or even a Smoth coated otter would be really fine.
Polar bear: I think that's a must in every zoo game.
Musk ox: Not a very common fellow but one of the few species that will work to build a polar section.
Kangarro (red or grey): We need to have at least one Australian species and this is without doubt one of the most well known.
Emu: Again, would go great with thw kangaroo.
New world monkey (capuchin or spider): To go along with the Bairds tapir.
Jaguar: We still haven't any spotted cat species, I think the Jaguar wouldn't be the worst choice.
Bison/other wild cattle: Of course the Bison is a zoo success story too and a Pronghorn enclose would attract much more visitors if there would be such an iconic species. As for other cattle, a subspecies of the African buffalo (some see the Forest buffalo as a separate species) would be the most obvious choice but Gaur, Banteng or Anoa would be even better.
Goat/sheep: There are a lot which come to mind, the most common would be a kind of Ibex, but I personally would prefer a species that would live in the Himalayas, Markhor, Thar, Takin,...
