Keyboard and HOTAS Reference Sheet Generator

Minor corrections:
The middle finger vertical rocker switch on the throttle maps to two buttons: up and down.
The little finger dial is an analog axis (fixed range non-centering).

I'm not at my computer but I think the annotations on the mappings sheet correspond to the axis names and button numbers used in the ED bindings file. Should be a useful sanity check at least.

Thank you so much for all your work on this!

Is this supposed to be working with this device yet? I tried it just now and get an "Unknown Controller Connected". Reference code is zdftmb

It's still showing the throttle as the standard T16000M with the green lighting.

I'm going to go with the angled version for now; it's not idea but it'll do.

Please could you fill out the template at http://www.mcdee.net/elite/res/t16000mfcs.png manually for the *throttle only* and put a link to it here, along with a reference to your binds file uploaded to the reference sheet generator. I'll use the information to map the various controls and automate the process. Thanks.

Here you go, link to binds file is http://www.mcdee.net/elite/configs/pzmlln.binds :

I'm seeing an issue with the T16000M where there is a missing control on the throttle, called JOY_VAxis. If anyone is seeing a missing analogue control on their reference sheet for this device please let me know which one it is. Thanks.

This could be related to the pedals which are sold separately. They plug into the throttle, not the computer, although they do come with an adapter to adapt the RJ-45 to USB.

Worth mentioning that strictly speaking the T.16000M is just the stick. The throttle is TWCS ("Thrustmaster Weapon Control System") and together they are FCS HOTAS (FCS="Flight Control System").

That's marketing for you. [wacko]

The throttle has 5 axes: Throttle axis (Z), Rocker switch (RZ), Mini Stick (X) and (Y) and Antenna axis (Slider 0). The rudder pedals add 3 more: Rudder axis (Slider 1), Left pedal axis (YR) and Right pedal axis (XR). There isn't any V axis that I can see on either my setup nor on the PC generic mappings.

Thanks JGM for posting the reference generator. All my SRV binds were Digital no wonder I hated trying to drive and aim at anything.

The difference now in Analog is so much better. Only took me a year Doh!

I generated http://www.mcdee.net/elite/binds/sepaak from the bindings at https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...icial-thread?p=4826415&viewfull=1#post4826415

I think modifier 4 is an alias for modifier 3 due to the constituent buttons appearing in a different order in the XML, as I have seen that happen before. Maybe jgm can do something to straighten that out, such as pre-sorting the constituent buttons within each binding according some well-defined ordering?

There are quite a few wrinkles in the code already due to various weird situations that are out there, especially those with multiple modifiers (and the T16000M as well, given that there are two different models that report exactly the same ID). In this case it would probably be a lot simpler to just tweak the XML file so that the modifiers are in a consistent order; I took the liberty of doing this with this particular file and updating the image. I will consider what can be done to handle this in the general case next time I'm tweaking the code.
