laGrange clouds

I found a lot of them around those darn space triangles but those are only fart gasses floating in space leaving a brown green ish dustcloud :-/

I've found them in two systems yesterday. About 4k Ly from the Bubble, random systems not even close to any nebulae. In both cases there were porcupine-like crystals.

We should had a NSP database... the codex is so vague, and only gives you 1 location. Anybody knows if there is a project or place where you can sibmit the ones you find?

I am not so sure...

For example, the one I visited:

Viridis gyre tree
In systems with star types: Y

Found in Lyed YJ-I d9-0

Where is the "Y" star there?

I am not sure either.
Can only say that the system where i found the cloud seems quite random to me. M class as a main star and i dont see any nebulae nearby.
...and now i checked the system, it has 7 main stars. Not sure if it is enough to count it is unusual.

System name: Thailoi BF-X B32-1

I just ran across a couple of clouds in the (amusingly aptly named) Oort system.
Odd part, which I suspect is down to the new lighting mechanics, is that one cloud was pink, right up until dropping out of supercruise into it, upon which it suddenly became bright yellow.

Ok, it shouldn't be necessary to manually submit finds. While the codex only lists at most two per the new regions (of types and different variations of each type), a discovered and confirmed, your Journal actually records your scanning of all the features with the composition scanner whether or not you get a codex reward for it, so if you have scanned it, the location right down to body desgnation for surface features is recorded in all our journals, all it needs is for someone like EGO or an EGO like org to set up a website to parse our journals for composition scans and automatically list the finds. This is the reason i can at least one bio feature on every body I find that has some, so if something like this is set up we will actually have a ready made database of bio supporting bodies, just need to send them our journal logs.

I didn't check the actual journal, I have to admit, but when I retrieve the journal entry from EDD I don't see anything regarding the "features" (biological etc). Hence suggestion in another thread to add this info to the journal. It'll be great for 3rd party tools to not only crunch/store the data, but also display these things to us in overlays whilst we wait for FD to add the info in-game (via something other than fss.....going back to fss to find the other bodies that had biology is very sub optimal)

Don't know if something changed in the patch, but....
3 systems in a row I've now seen notable stellar phenomena. Codex lists them as proto-lagrange clouds.
Anywho, this might help. Here's where to look on the wave thing; Now I wonder if I've just been missing them thinking that was the asteroid area at quick glance...

interestingly, when I resolved the gas giant, the phenomena resolved as well - I did not zoom into it/target it (the phenomena).

Come across around 4 so far, mainly around white dwarfs and neutron stars. No Q types anomalies though.
Good info, thanks

That's the same place they used to spawn during beta. The spectral range, however, was wider and labelled "Scenarios".

Interesting. I've probably missed a bunch too then. I did find one last week, but now I don't remember how I spotted it (FSS vs Nav Panel).

EDIT: To be fair to myself, I've been travelling with a purpose for the last week, and now I'm ready to relax into more "real" exploration, and might spend more time actually looking at the signals in more detail. ;)

I've only found them on the honk so far. I stopped even bothering sweeping around the FSS to see them, I just close the FSS and check the navpanel after honking in the FSS and they're there.

Now up to 40kly travelled, 2 more planebs, and 100 jumps across and inside some random big nebula. Still nothing. I'm starting to think that my client is bugged.

I feel your pain. went from Bubble to jellyfish, to monkey to seagull and found 1 bio site that wasn't bark mounds but nothing else.
