. You could just take the measurements that are already there and measure them to get the size of one meter instead of using cargo hatches.

I have finally got around to finishing the wheel arms/legs/whatever they're called. Everything is now ready for final assembly.
I do seem to have a somewhat alarming number of parts left over though. I'm hoping most of this is from other sets I've pulled apart when needing to alter the design slightly.

I put everything together for the final assembly today. Slight issue with the rear wheel arms but I'll talk about that another day.
In the meantime here is a teaser picture:
I was going to reveal this beast at ECM this year but seeing as it's all virtual now I'll be showing it off during the v-ECM event.

Well guys... I did it!
Close up details, including how I made it light up... this large model was made with a mix of used and new parts, so some are slightly discoloured but only really noticable when looking closely.
All the wires for the cockpit lights go through two pin holes you can make out at the back of this image:
The lights can be powered by a mains USB charger or by a USB battery pack.
The boosters do go up and down, powered by the Lego Power Functions battery pack and motors. The tracked turret can move along the top of the roof via another Lego motor.
and here you can see the inside. the two roof panels open up and the tracked turret swings up to allow access to the insides
