Give us the ability to wire other Commanders credits. It is a pain to pay folks in cargo.

UPDATE: I can see now, how adding the ability to send other players credits would create a potential balance issue. Now that I have thoroughly looked at this, I'd rather stick with paying folks in cargo.

Which gold farming company paid for this message? ;-)

LOL well played Commander. But seriously I employ 8 independent pilots for various activities to benefit the Empire and at this point it is a pain in the rear to meet up and do the pay day routine with cargo swaps.

How long would it be before pirates start sending messages demanding 1/2 rebuy cost instead of the more realistic proportion of cargo?

Its a no from me

That is fair, but do you propose a better way for me to pay my space employees?

The benefits would be totally out weighed buy the negatives. Soon, in March I understand, the 'Wings' feature will be released allowing for groups to share in the spoils directly. That's as far as it should go. There is only one currency in this game, making it directly tradable will only draw in the gold sellers and boosting a pal into an unearned ship would disrupt game play.

Civil wars don't start themselves. There are times when outside forces need to go in and just rebalance things....of course, without creating a diplomatic situation. Players that are hired in-game need to be paid with hard credits or cargo. Or hell even vouchers; something. Things like bitcoin, come on. That is against TOS.

I can think of reasons why to do this, and I can see people saying don't do this, but I cant see any valid reason not to do it.
(pirates demand what they demand, they will most likely kill you anyway, I would, even after you paid, sue me)

I agree that credit transfer would be a welcome addition to the game. But I would limit it to only be available whilst docked to avoid being blackmailed by pirates. Also, free transfer of credits would effectively break piracy; who on earth is actually going to want your cargo, just demand your credits and cut out the middle man (i.e. returning to a station to sell your ill gotten goods).

A possible way around pirates asking for credits when they interdict you could be to only allow credit transfers at stations, and preferably only to players on your friends list. If the other player isn't there at the time you could leave the credits with the station for them to pick up at their convenience, maybe?

That isn't a bad idea.

No way! Inter player transfers would instantly result in people selling credits. This would be another reason to avoid open play. It would be full of people who paid for their credits.

A better option would be player generated missions where you could pay another player to complete a measurable task. (eg escort from A to B). Still fun but no credits on eBay.
