On a separate comment the influences for most of the other minor factions are trending up (slightly), so it looks like you have some competition in the system.

Caused by NPC's trading etc ?
Thank you for the clearance anyway.

This is the known issue for the system. The influence for CSG has crossed the threshold for flipping some time ago, so won't retrigger. We are investigating.

Ah, interesting. So one solution would be to cease all CSG activity and work for the opposition, then when CSG go below the threshold, switch back to working for them again. Tricky, due to reputation problems. I have a second account that has never been to Lugh so I could bring her in. Not a serious suggestion though!
Thought also about this but i think that would take ages again even if it would properly trigger then![]()

I'm afraid that for once I don't buy this. The fact that LDF and DOL have both identically moved from the 0.1% they'd been on since 28th Jan to 0.8% and have stayed there for 4 days (see Influence Graph) says to me that there has been a change in the computation of influence (or its inputs) rather than it being the effect of player activity.

I would agree. LFE and CSG both lost EXACTLY .7% each and DOL and LDF both gained EXACTLY .7% each.
That looks very fishy.
There are randomers in the system at the moment but I am not convinced they are responsible for figures moving in that way. Also it should be remembered that CSG offers much more missions and randomers would be doing missions for us too.
So guys, lets get out there tonight and hammer it. Lets see what the figures say tomorrow...

Nope. Won't be doing that. The game needs to work. It is a simulator. It should simulate. It should not be about pushing numbers up and down until they fit. If CSG has a much higher influence then that should work or the guys in FD should write some code to bypass all other parameters to account if this happens again elsewhere.
We have provided helpful data to the devs on this and hopefully exposed some bugs that needed fixing. The bugs need to be squashed, not danced around and placated to make the game work.
Missions or trading?
iFez, that's quite possible. Or it could be that previously NPC activity for the lesser factions was ignored in the influence calculation and now someone has fixed it so that it is included. I'd just like to know what the cause is. It just feels like when official statistics change because the government switched to a new method of calculating them.
The thing is though that those factions have no stations so who does their trade bonus go to? If you imagine that LFE and CSG own all the stations and CSG has an active player trade group working for them then surely they would cancle out any petty NPC trade being done for those factions? Remember, CSG has NPC's too...
There is something really fishy going on and I struggle to imagine any concerted effort against us that could be organised without us noticing it on the forums. Besides, why would they bother and just remain silent about it? Where is the fun in that?
Concerted effort would be what was required. It is actually quite difficult to organise people and keep them working toward a goal. For them to be succeeding there would need to be more of them than us and working harder... How can you do that without a rallying point like a forum? and then keep them motivated?
on the specific issue of investigation can we get a bit of a loose eta on a fix, can we expect it within a week a month or a few months, just helps us to avoid recovering it if its a complex issue that is going to take some time to fix, if its a simple fix we can expect an confirmed eta of a few days
